This is an incredibly dangerous and radical policy decision reflects the Trump Administration’s allegiance with gun sellers rather than to the safety of the public. If not reversed, it will facilitate illegal gun trafficking that will be more guns in the hands of dangerous individuals.
How many times does this article need to be written before Federal and State officials recognize the dangers we face by releasing these models into the global ecosystem. No one knows how they do what they do, why they do what they do, or how to control them.

I appreciated Al Blumstein’s in-depth analysis of crime and CJ systems. I came to know him early in my career when many were grappling with the surge in gun violence connected to crack cocaine markets. He was right on many issues and always kind.
While I’m happy to be part of this webinar, I don’t love the title chosen by CCJ. The weight of solid research evidence refutes the notion that more guns (civilian ownership and carrying) leads to less crime.
