It's crucial to remember that RFK Jr isn't just doing all he can to roll back vaccination & drive up childhood infectious diseases in the US but also WORLWIDE & he's especially targeting children in the lowest income countries

He has suspended US funding to Gavi, which supports global vaccination

This is an incredibly dangerous and radical policy decision reflects the Trump Administration’s allegiance with gun sellers rather than to the safety of the public. If not reversed, it will facilitate illegal gun trafficking that will be more guns in the hands of dangerous individuals.

Why It’s Crucial We Understand How A.I. ‘Thinks’

How many times does this article need to be written before Federal and State officials recognize the dangers we face by releasing these models into the global ecosystem. No one knows how they do what they do, why they do what they do, or how to control them.

Bondi and Noem getting the boot while the equally corrupt and incompetent menfolk keep their jobs reminds me of this Table of RFK Jr’s CDC Directors I made last week.

Only one person needed actual qualifications to be the CDC Director and that person was the only woman who had the job.

I love the idea that *this* US government, which has been nabbing landscapers and five year olds knows where Iranian sleeper cells are but just hasn’t gotten around to doing anything about it yet.

On top of the concentration camps, kidnapping, and murders, the news now reports ICE is buying microwave tech to kill the car engines of first amendment legal observers. And Democrats are still not even asking to claw back the 2025 budget increases.

OMG. The facts in this case were so damning. The father should be held accountable under these circumstances. I want stronger gun laws, but this verdict doesn’t let lawmakers off the hook. It might prevent some parents for making the same deadly mistakes.

The Conservative Proposal To Take Money from Poor Single Moms and Give It to Married Couples The Heritage Foundation has an idea: Take from the poor and give to the rich

Too many women in the workforce and delaying or foregoing childbearing? The Heritage Foundation has a plan for that. And it is the opposite of Robin Hood: It's a huge cash transfer from poor single moms to to wealthier married parents.

Trump takes credit for lower crime rates in Washington, DC after sending federal troops last year.

Fact check: Since peaking in 2023, D.C. violent crime fell in 2024, before Trump took office, and has continued to fall at similar rates before and after federal intervention.

Alfred Blumstein, Who Transformed the Study of Crime, Dies at 95

www.nytimes.com/2026/02/14/s...
I appreciated Al Blumstein’s in-depth analysis of crime and CJ systems. I came to know him early in my career when many were grappling with the surge in gun violence connected to crack cocaine markets. He was right on many issues and always kind.

While I’m happy to be part of this webinar, I don’t love the title chosen by CCJ. The weight of solid research evidence refutes the notion that more guns (civilian ownership and carrying) leads to less crime.

I hope the O’s make a trade for an upgrade at 3B. Can’t bet on Westburg being healthy. Mayo is a poor fielder at 3B who might break out with the bat, but it’s a roll of the dice.

Two issues I'm pondering. One is that you can't move this many people without inflicting tremendous physical and psychological harm on those deported and on society itself. The second is that left in place for years, mass detention on a whole new level will be normalized. It rarely vanishes. [1/3]

Love this article by @marclevin.bsky.social It includes lots of evidence-based insights and recommendations for reducing violent crime, promoting justice, and enhancing community views of the acceptability and legitimacy of law enforcement. Obviously, ICE & CBP threatens all of these outcomes.
