I was sitting next to this dog who chose to come home with me from the county shelter where he mayve heard staff cuss like sailors. It's been 7 loving years together but he just got up and moved to a crate-like space within the desk's floor place! My toothache made me spontaneously say shite 🀨

Good night. With my best dog beside me, with us both taking medicine in a refreshed hope (thanks to you & blue flowers) we'll feel less distress soon, we're gazing at our toy hippo Easter!

I grew up an Air Force brat, sold papers on base as Nam was getting cranking and went to airshows with static displays. I was ready to volunteer for a Navy aircraft with a pair of the same jet engines as the A-10. Being unarmored we liked being quieter and felt targets like submarines heard little.πŸ’―

Even blind bats can hear authoritative folks and it's then important for them to listen and learn. But, living in Alabama among MAGA and feckless Republicans like Sen. Tommy Tuberville teaches me they're going screw this up like they did high school.
What about those Epstein files and felon Trump?🀨

You say that as if we see anything out of the ordinary. Wait! There's Angus in his camera friendly pose. Stupendous!!

I'm not an admirer of members of Congress, generally, but I can see how the use of "troops" is meant to reach Congress and the constituents (ideally voters) they represent. We are charging up Central Command's fight at expense of other regions like the Pacific. I had lengthy jobs with CENTCOM. Risk!

I see your point. I'll say it isn't a transport of 6000 extra personnel in addition to a needed 6000 sailors (and Marines) who are a necessary workforce to make flight operations in a war zone. That type of full-size aircraft carrier can have 7,000 aviation folks and an undisclosed small SEAL force.

I respect how you might be making a point about journalistic phrasing or some other point. But, consider how I served in uniform to answer your query: during carrier deployment overseas there is a crew on long term assignment and many thousands more are air wing personnel who live on that carrier.

Credit to the Block family for selling to the non-profit Banner at a discount. They were offered significantly more by a for-profit chain that would have further gutted the paper. They saw what rhe Banner is doing in Maryland and opted for civic responsibility.

Hum us one tune we really, really need in this time of our war of choice: "All we are saying is give peas a chance!"
I'm confident I'm not the only one who can visualize whirled peas.
"From a distance, we all are instruments, marching in a common band..."

Charlie's very accepting of the louder hammering woodpeckers do in FL if a TV satellite dish is used again & again. You remind me a good size redheaded woodpecker was outside the window pecking on the tree the smaller guys, Flickers, have used in the past. A very photogenic redhead. Your likes=wow!

I agree with you about the red soldier. I get lots of pleasure from reading high quality Canadian (originally from Sri Lanka) author Michael Ondatje books like The English Patient. Lots of pages in it, maybe lots of the film, feature a guy the Canadian nurse gets into bed with. He's a Sikh soldier.

Staged and costumed to bigly remind us and all the world of the Epstein files!

Why in the world? A doctor with his hand fondling another pale skinned guy's noggin? Because there's a nurse with an adoring expression on her face on her knees right there. What a whopper or, maybe, it's his noggin (frontal cortex) actually needing a doctor.

Magic from you to me, with 8 pm artful shepherding by Charlie! But my lengthy dreams were the most imposing mix of all the places I've ever worked. Lots of Special Ops senior commanders sat in the front row for a library program. State guys packed another room to do signed agreements with GCC Arabs.

Bird watchers may note that there's an overstuffed eagle on the wing as fat as a tom turkey so as to make America's First Fathead look more like a fair haired younger man. From Central Casting.

We exist in the Most Stupid and Terrifying timeline. I am genuinely afraid and so sorry for anyone #NotInTheCult who remains in the Military. Thank you for your service and dedication to the Constitution. But Lordy, what #ScaryTimes these are. REMEMBER You DO NOT have to follow #IllegalOrders

Maybe he knows his support figures in Moscow and Washington are aground on the rocks with their intractable wars in Iran and Ukraine? Orban's old enough to go away and retire in Florida where he's behind the walls of an estate.

The end of Viktor OrbΓ‘n’s autocratic regime is a victory not just for Hungary, but for people who value democracy around the world. Congratulations to Tisza, to incoming leader PΓ©ter Magyar, and to Hungarians everywhere.

Thinking of the profound stupidity of fighting a very large regional power in waters that bathe their shores! If I was a citizen of Taiwan knowing this war disaster leads to punishment for the thrice ruling Repuglican Party in midterm elections, I would learn to fight in my streets. US can't do it!

And how did the station that carries a fine sportscaster for Troy University sports, the guy who voices radio spots about Mrs. Rosa Parks and her Library & Museum, follow that victory song? Advice Orban needs: A Fast Car by a free-thinking sista out of Boston's Tufts University named Tracie Chapman!

Meaning not lost on me: the popular (oldies rock and roll) here in southeast Alabama is playing Gonna Be a Bright, Sunshiney Day! The original Reggae version, I reckon. 🎢 🎡

Take it from me, a humble Navy flyer, this is a fifth president who shouldn't have the same traditional service our Navy provided under those wiser four presidents. I'm finding my decades of joint military sacrifice dismantled! Unleash us veterans and never elect VP J. D. again.

A cute dog who is tenderly sharing one big, green squeaky toy with his hooman.

I'm currently copping a squat with a Nat'l Pet Day weekend warrior in a really cute room with ancient family fixtures I'm squirreling away during the move of a matriarch. That antiquated expression about dog and Doggy Daddy in a squat goes neatly with his little yard critters: "squirrelly squat" 😜
