We would like to extend a big thanks to Josh for another great wet specimen class! 🦎🐍 Attendees learned preservation techniques, including how to properly inject and pose specimens for display.
(Plz note, Josh is an herpetologist, which allows for specimens to be sustainably sourced for classes.)

There is something to be said about the way Osteal Blossoms adds an element of glamour to natural science specimens. From framed insects to vertebrae necklaces, her presentation makes my heart swoon.

This “tableau vivant” was taken just a few blocks from our shop on the 200 block of Main St., Poughkeepsie, NY in 1890! Tableau vivant (French for "living picture") is a performance art. Popular as a parlor game from the 18th-early 20th centuries, they recreate art, history, etc.
