STV staff back strike action over planned pay freeze The broadcaster is facing the prospects of widespread strikes which could disrupt coverage of the Scottish election campaign.

He added: "Members feel it was extremely presumptive of STV to assume that staff would take a real terms cut in pay while money was clearly found to invest in other areas of the business."

He also urged the company to meet with Bectu and the NUJ in a bid to resolve the dispute.

We’re deeply frustrated that the government has missed its own deadline to appoint a Freelance Champion. Freelancers power the UK’s creative industries yet once again their voices risk being sidelined. We need action, not delay. Freelancers deserve proper representation now. bit.ly/49xAVVM
