Another LLF debate awaits, I'm so sick of this, I have nothing to say and so much to say.
But my prediction is that this will follow the same pattern as every other debate, loads of amendments, nothing will go through, and then back to the main motion. #synod

Cause what we all wanted was a reminder of the last 10yrs of LLF from the Bishops. π

Back down for my final London #synod granted slightly later after joining online yesterday.
Bloody brilliant news!

No one should be made to be ABC for much longer to be fair!! What a job.
And it's gone, just like that! We agreed on something LLF related and putting issues in human sexuality in the bin sailed through!

Welcome to Tuesday at #synod, where issues in human sexuality, from 1991, still held over the heads of ordinands, could, just could, become history! ππΌ
Yeah generally fine, just a bit moody! π Thanks though x
Not gonna lie, I've felt a bit flat this #synod, so haven't really tweeted much, or been overly social... But I am here!
Thanks Paul, hope you're doing ok x
Probably an unpopular opinion, and probably comes from the desperation to be younger and more diverse.
It's something I've felt myself previously being young (ish), on Synod, CNCs etc and it's uncomfortable.
There's something about this, where the CofE put seemingly capable, usually young, of a minority group, people on a pedestal, and unfortunately here, meant they were blinded to the truth.

Prayers, love, and huge admiration for your courage in all of this π€
A real pleasure to spend the last few days with Darius being ordained priest.
A different calling, a different ministry but one none the less.

You too, as always!
What Synod does to my heart rate.
This is fabulous, especially when you read it imagining the current holders of those posts.
Iβm not usually in favour of AI, but is there any way it could be used to automate General Synod so humans arenβt subjected to the cruelty of having to take part?
I took this photo on Sunday night knowing a few days later I'd be craving her...
I cannot wait to get home from synod tomorrow.
I think I've had enough of the 'hammer to crack a nut' analogy this synod.
On a practical level, younger folk are often working, Dioceses do, and can provide loss of earnings when taking unpaid leave to attend Synod.
Our Diocese is also happy to reimburse upfront for the likes of hotel and travel.
It's still an expense, but lightens it a little.
Another great debate on hearing the voices of young adults.
We need the age of General Synod to reduce, we need more younger and diverse voices, we need to encourage those we know.
I've reached the glazed over, knackered part of Synod.
Absolutely!
A brilliant debate on working class ministry at #Synod this morning, a welcome break from some of the heavier debates.
I'm not arguing with you, we can agree to disagree.
And the 90% of survivors & victims that have been consulted?
The option to vote for model 4 now removed by an amendment, basically saying we'll go with 3 for now, and work towards 4.
Disappointing, it feels like kicking it into the long grass, which we couldn't really afford to do. #synod
Disappointed in that vote on #synod. I voted for model 4 and I think Synod will come to regret instead endorsing model 3 (a lesser form of independent safeguarding) in the short term, even if they say theyβll aim for model 4 later.
The overwhelming voice of victims & survivors.
The need for consistancy.
It's a conscience vote for me today, however hard, expensive, time consuming and messy. #synod
