Glad that I get to say "the Oscar nominated film, Weapons" whenever I speak about that movie from now on
For me, the worst part of hearing someone died of natural causes will always be that it's never Mitch McConnell.
Nice job, Martin! Im only 10 levels in but it's great so far!
My #CorgiJam entry is a short sokoban/sliding puzzle game about a dog marking his territory. It's my first #pico8 game! Playable in browser and on mobile, too.
Thanks for hosting the jam! @adamatomic.bsky.social @finjico.bsky.social

GW being run by some old dudes who fear change is finally paying dividends. All praise the omnissiah
All I can say is that if you are a video game enjoyer, or like to think about game design, or like to consume good writing, you should wishlist this game. Congrats @apthomson.bsky.social on the announcement and nominations!

A timeline visually representing the advice from my post, emphasising how dramatically and reliably having more time, with a testable build, converts to your game being better and your studio being safer.
I've been running an indie games studio for 15 years now, and it felt like a good time to boil down what I've learned into 4 pieces of advice:

I hope it's of use, not least because goddamn I forgot how long blog posts take to write.

It's not uncommon to buy games you really love on multiple platforms so I guess it's time for me to buy HORSES on three platforms ππ₯
Here's a fun Friday afternoon article from me! About the chilling effect of censorship in games, the ethical obligations of being a poweful entity in the medium, and how we respond when video games' freedom of expression - from so many directions - is under siege.

HORSES cover with a banned from Steam logo
Our upcoming game HORSES was preemptively banned from Steam, with no path to appeal. The game will still launch next week on December 2nd and will be available on EGS, GOG, Humble, and Itch for $4.99. Here is a detailed FAQ covering what happened: horses.wtf/BannedFromSt...

Speaking of art that should be celebrated, punchdrunk's production, 'Viola's Room', is an excellent exploration of narrative design, that's been on my mind for weeks. They use a variety of sensory stimuli to tell a concise, refined, and thrilling story! www.punchdrunk.com/work/violas-...
I went to NYC a few weeks ago to go to this, and I don't know how to convey just how incredible it really is - a true embracing and inspiring celebration of art. The greatest tragedy would be a world where we lost funding and support of the arts, where we would never receive gifts like this again.
Not an ideal way to celebrate Life Day imo
