I know I only have a small, yet dedicated group of wonderful followers, and bots. Mostly bots. But this is a great message to be shared with everyone, from a man who is the antithesis of the sentiment coming from our government these days

Today I’m proposing we suspend the federal gas and diesel taxes to give Americans some relief.
The people who started this war in Iran don’t have to worry about the price of gas every day. But we do.
Suspend the gas tax. Suspend the diesel tax. End the war in Iran.
For the record: The Washington Post can go fuck itself.
Support pro-democracy media that doesn't have its head stuck up Donald Trump's ass. bit.ly/4qmEiFz

Worth repeating today:
Congratulations, Virginia! Republicans are trying to tilt the midterm elections in their favor, but they haven’t done it yet. Thanks for showing us what it looks like to stand up for our democracy and fight back.
Congrats to the bull. He moves on in the tournament, correct?
WE CAN SEE AGAIN
It’s kind of astonishing how many news outlets have published versions of a “Tucker Carlson apologized for telling people to support Trump” story by writers who very clearly did not listen to the podcast.
This is what I expected from the coverage but the full podcast is much more sinister, they are disappointed because Trump has been insufficiently fascistic. They wish that instead of invading iran hed focus on crushing liberalism. bsky.app/profile/thep...
surprising roughly no one, Trump was never just concerned with people who came here the 'wrong way'
tomorrow the Supreme Court will hear oral argument in Blanche v. Lau, a case where Trump is asking the Court to make it easier to remove Lawful Permanent Residents

It seems more like an omen for all of us.
BALDWIN: Do you think NIH should fund less cancer research?
RFK Jr: No, they should fund more, & one of the few agencies that got a raise in the budget was NCI
B: That increase is less than $1m for an institute with a $7b budget. That's a .01% increase. It wouldn't even cover one additional grant
GALLEGO: Earlier today, you told Sec. Kennedy that Trump never demanded you to cut interest rates. Is that your sworn testimony?
WARSH: That is, senator.
GALLEGO: Okay. Well someone here is lying then. Because Trump confirmed he pressed you on interest rate cuts.
Warsh claimed that the Wall Street Journal had bad sources. Their source was Donald Trump himself. Either Trump lied to the Journal or Warsh just committed perjury.

Today I turn 89. I’ve seen this country at its best and its worst, and I know how much community matters. For my birthday, I’m asking you to stand with PFLAG and support the work that’s helped so many in the LGBTQ+ community, including me. give.pflag.org/page/95493/d...
That quote makes me think somebody just explained gerrymandering to trump.
“The MAGA crowd is made of dumb people — like, SUPER dumb people. And they fall for it.”
For my @wired.com feature debut, I talked to Sam, a guy who made thousands of dollars on Instagram by scamming MAGA men with Emily Hart, an AI generated, Trump-loving influencer. www.wired.com/story/ai-gen...
A clip from The New York Times reads: "But only the entities that officially paid the tariffs are eligible to recover that money. That means that the fuller universe of people affected by Mr. Trump’s policies — including millions of Americans who paid higher prices for the products they bought — are not able to apply for direct relief. The extent to which consumers realize any gain hinges on whether businesses share the proceeds, something that few have publicly committed to do. Some have started to band together in class-action lawsuits in the hopes of receiving a payout."
The average American family paid $1,700 in tariffs last year, according to the bipartisan Congressional Joint Economic Committee. Few will ever see any of that money back. The refunds will go to companies, if doled out at all. What a joke.
Russian drones struck a residential area in Sumy overnight, damaging hospital, apartment buildings, cars and injuring four civilians, including a 17-year-old.

Likely incoming CDC director Erica Schwartz’s ability to stand her ground would depend not only on her mettle. It would depend also on deference from the Trump administration—and, more immediately, from Kennedy and his team.
That’s right
