A Glimpse into Remote Work in 2026 I had promised an update on remote work, and now it’s time make good on that promise. Back in September 2025, I had run a survey asking what topics were of most interest to my current readers. The top results: 19% - Post-modern agile (many of my current readers are in the agile community) 17% - AI as teammate, not overlord…

Setting Waypoints for your Career Trails Waypoints allow us to mark our journey in our careers Ever look up from your screen during the work day and wonder “What am I doing here?” You’re busy, but not focused. Grinding through your day. You’re not even sure of your goal anymore. You may think, “What am I doing in this job?” Sounds like you might be missing a waypoint on your career trail.

Weak leaders insist that they're the best. They seek attention to feed their egos, and measure success by how many followers they attract.

Strong leaders ask how they can get better. They seek feedback to fuel their growth, and gauge success by how many lives they improve.

1000% agree. I feel you have the same issue if you lean too far into async work. I was recently told by a VP at a well-known tech company about the flawed hypothesis around async work: it assumes workers have time to read all the documentation generated. Sometime you just need a conversation.

I might need you to show me how you transcribed all those podcast episodes. I’ve done 100s of interviews on different podcasts and it would be awesome to have my own transcripts
