Some mid-air junco battles from the other day. They do these amazing, spiraling aerial battles. It's taken some practice to be quick enough to catch them. Most of my shots are of empty sky :) #birds 🌿

Athena's rescued owlet is now in the care of Austin Wildlife Rescue Center.
Social media posts suggest her mate seems to have been injured and was unable to provide much-needed food to the nest.
Lots of folks nationwide pulling for this little one. 🦉
