For me signing up, i have no real reason other than refreshing my old C and some adhd sudden curiosity and interest. For other people...I do believe it would be a good idea for people to really understand coding fundamentals. Depends what you're coding for, it doesn't hurt, even though painful.

However, this is greatly facilitated by me already understanding the foundational concepts and structures. And I prefer your type 2 for learning new stuff, fits better with my style. π
I have had 4 yrs of C++ in high school, hence the sigh, which have helped tremendously when learning any other coding language. I do Python and JavaScript, some R and agreeing that if I really need to jump between and LLM is of great use.
I finally reached the saturation and frustration level required to migrate my followers from X. If I followed you recently, it means I did press that button. No reciprocating action needed. I'm just keen to keep close to the former geocommunity from X. You'll most likely find me on LinkedIn anyway.
