Starmer’s handling of the vetting story has somehow become a bigger problem for Starmer than the vetting story. Extraordinary.

Not to be seen on the BBC TV News, doesn’t suit their agenda .

Also not to be seen in the Telegraph, Express, Mail, Sun, etc.

And nowadays not in the Guardian either.

When we promised to pay the energy bills of everyone in the street, we meant it in the same way as when we promised to cut council tax.

As leader of the Brexit Party Farage is directly responsible for the utter shit show we have suffered since the referendum. Renaming your party ReformUK will not erase that fact. Farage was, is and always will be the Brexit Party.

This is exactly the level of stupidity we need to get Reform into power.

Has anvone dealt with fake reviews? This person
is mad because I used Al to illustrate my book and
wrote a review without actually reading or
purchasing the book. I reported it to Amazon but
was just wondering if anyone else has experienced
this?

Book contains generated content that does
not belong to the author

When I see authors like
Choosing
to use generated illustrations, it makes me
believe they do not stand by their own product. I
would support the author if they paid for real
illustrated artwork- it is shameful since the story
could have been helpful to children going through
the same thing. Since the art is obviously
generated by artificial intelligence, I don't have
confidence that the written content belongs to the
author; The author chose to use generated art
and so the book content is likely to be generatec
as well. Invest your money elsewhere, this book
is not worth the price.

One of my friends just got a cat a while ago and I was all about easily accessible litter trays, more than one in the house. Didn’t account for her daughter who has just gone done a shit in one of the litter trays 🥲🫠

You don’t have to know much anatomy to know just how terrible this website is. They have pages covering more or less every main organ system with considerable amount of written info as well. All AI slope some of it quite funny.

Widespread use of AI makes trusting any information online a bad idea unless from a verified source. Would you trust dna results from a lab that has this on their website?

I’m not convinced it’s safe to travel to. My social media might be too spicy and we’ve all heard of normal holiday goers being detained. Many more sensible places to host international conferences than countries directly hostile toward some delegates based on nationality

We need a system where government heavily subsidises cost of education. The priorities are all wrong. Universities can’t operate at a loss and so much find cash cows. This leads to low quality degree programmes that are grossly over subscribed by intl fee payers costing student and staff wellbeing

I am upset that a conference id like to attend is in the US next year. I wish international conferences didn’t take place in countries that are aggressors in war. I wouldn’t go conferencing in Russia or Israel either.

Beware survivorship bias in advice on science careers For objective careers advice, talk to those who left science as well as those who stayed.

I’m not sure if I ever shared on Bluesky this article we wrote on how almost everyone giving career advice is susceptible to survivorship bias, but I think it was good and you should read it

Philosophers don't universally agree on things, including even the fact that philosophers don't universally agree on things, so we're kinda exempt from this one.
