Except for Ma calling he Paige, it was perfect!!
@joshuawilliamson.bsky.social #DanMora Excellent issue! I’m more of a pre-Crisis guy, too! 😉 Only one concern- her name is Karen, not “Paige,” #KarenStarr. #PowerGirl
A longtime fan and supporter from the USA!

Same. 😞
Well, DC also solicited the 2nd volume of DC’s Matrix/Linda Supergirl volume as the adventures of Kara Zor-El.
That’s exactly what I want to see. There should’ve been a period where we saw PG and Huntress as the two preeminent heroes.
I can also imagine being in a time with a whole new generation with Karen and Helena as the elders with the original JSA having finally passed.
Pre-Crisis Earth-Two is still my favorite corner of the DC Universe. And I’m still frustrated by the COIE. It damaged a lot of my favorite concepts / characters and some have never been able to recover.
Whether this ends to my liking or not, 2 issues in and I’m hooked- well done @danslott.bsky.social @lucas-meyer.bsky.social #JonKent
…the JLA/ JSA crossovers were a constant introduction to the concept. It wasn’t hard, it wasn’t unwieldy, it wasn’t confusing, it wasn’t convoluted. That all came after the Crisis.
The pre-Crisis Multiverse was far simpler and elegant than the main earth now that is constantly rewritten. 4//
…confusion. Even now writers can’t move characters forward, they seem compelled to rewrite the past. (Yes there are some exceptions).
Many a 6,7,8 year old figured out the Multiple Earths concept in the Silver and Bronze Age.
Earth-Two books were always introduced with the concept in each… 3/
…at the time of the Crisis. In fact those titles/ concepts, All-Star Squadron/ Young All-Stars and Infinity Inc continued into the post-Crisis era. If anything the Crisis destroyed those titles because.
Furthermore, it’s been the subsequent reboots/ relaunches that have created the continuity… 2/
I’m going to have to disagree strongly with your thesis that the pre-Crisis Multiverse was unsustainable. I think you’ve fallen for the narrative DC was pushing at the time.
The evidence shows that the Multiverse was doing well. Yearly JLA/ JSA crossovers, 2 titles set on Earth-Two… 1/
We're now well into the sixth year of no Hawkman series. When Robert Venditti's series ended in Nov. '00, I never thought it would be this long. And there is no sign, inkling, rumor, or news of a series starting. This is why Hawkworld.org is there for #Hawkman and #Hawkgirl fans.
With 23 years of continuous work as a letterer, and over 30 years of print/production experience, I’m now unable to find any new lettering work in comics.
Please keep me in mind when staffing your creator-owned projects and please consider requesting me on your WFH projects 🙏
😮 I’m game! Thank you for the invite! 😃
I have a lot of the same feelings about current comics and the feeling of being let down when it comes to how some of my favorite characters have been treated.
As a Legion fan it was nice that they found a way into the conversation.
Really enjoyed this episode with @hawkworld.bsky.social ! So glad the conversation went to so many Hawk-topics and not just the issue in question. I’ve interacted with Tim on social media for a number of years and it was great to hear him.
Makes me want to talk about some of my favorites!
I’m constantly awed by the love and devotion @hawkworld.bsky.social has for Hawkman.
In a world full of toxic fandoms, Tim Board is the exact opposite — he is the model of a truly positive fan.
So of course I make him talk about 1993’s HAWKMAN #1.

Dawny is one of my favorite Legionnaires and 1/2 of my favorite tragic couple with Drake Burroughs.
Happy Birthday Amanda!
“Generations “ is still one of
my all-time favorite stories.

Reading anything from the 70s is instantly enjoyable and makes me feel like a kid again.
If you ever stumble across it…I’d be interested to know what it says.
Yeah, I remember being excited because of the ad. Then nothing….
