Since this time, the Elon Musk-driven) X site has had plenty ty of convis about not only Meg Basham's awful "reporting" on the Lyell-Sills case, but also new revelations that R. Denhollander might've been 2x-dipping in marshalling this situation.๐Ÿ’” It's sticky.

This, plus 10,000. I'm so exhausted by the end of the day, I have 0๏ธโƒฃ energy/bandwidth to grade, either. The stacks and piles haunt me.

I'd love it! I'm happy to DM you my school deets as well. FYI, this is my 1st year back in gen ed ELA, after nearly a decade away from direct gen ed HS teaching. I'm rebuilding my ELA network, and I SO want to influence my "freshies" and juniors in positive ways (while preserving my own sanity).๐Ÿ˜ฌ

I'd love to know more about this - especially how to integrate these awesome concepts into 9th grade writing ... on a modified bell schedule. (Also, how to adapt this for SWDs?)

Is this your freshmen first foray into the Globe of Shakespeare? One project my sophomores did with JC is write imitations of Antony's funeral oration, following the structure of the original. Students could make it solemn or silly/sarcastic, but they had to keep the context.

Thank you! I have a few things, but I'd also love to hear things that worked for your students. (I'm excited to read the book with them!)

Happy to flutter over to BlueSky to expand my teacher PLC.

Also, I'd love to discover resources and strategies (specifically HS ELA teachers) to effectively teach a book I've never taught - "The Things They Carried".
