Reform to tell Welsh museums how to present history, manifesto says Election pledges say Reform would ask museums to present history chronologically.

"Reform's manifesto for the Senedd election says the party will tell museums how to display history if it wins, saying they will present events in chronological order and "in context"."

So, History Reclaimed but in government.

History without rigour, compassion, or reflection.

Today's blog post is about autism and disability and a reminder that even if an autistic person you know drives, has a job, etc., they can still be disabled by being autistic.

Mr blobby

Mr blobby

I have walked in the ashes of dead worlds
Bathing in the light of black suns
Where I tread I leave only dust and despair
Your tears are my drink
Your sorrow, my meat
And I have supped well.

The pits of howling galaxies
And screaming stars will not hold me for long.

My time is soon

Cover of a manga volume: Pet Shop of Horrors collector's edition #3.

14/2026: Pet Shop of Horrors collector's edition, #3. I'm not sure I can really separate my enjoyment of this series from the nostalgia, but regardless, this volume includes some of my favourite chapters.

As so many of us have said so often for a year now, any predatory man already ignoring laws forbidding assault isn't going to obey a 'bathroom ban'. Making life harder for trans people and many others with restrictions which will be impossible to enforce will do nothing to make any women safer.

Just FYI, there is a tiny indie bookshop in Afflecks Palace in MCR that ONLY sells fantasy (and a tiny bit of horror). Not even SF. Bugbear Books - check them out if you're in the area. I was very well behaved because I was already broke but I got a copy of The Fox Wife which looks great.
Pls share?

As a father, the weight is heavy — trying to provide for my family from nothing, rebuilding life piece by piece after losing everything.!!!!

Every support means warmth, food, and safety to our little ones.💔

One of the best parts about earning an English degree where you actually paid attention to historical context of the works you studied... you know this statement isn't true!

It's actually bonkers levels of untrue!

A lot of books that are the most popular of their time are pretty mid.

No, no, I absolutely do not need any more story ideas

Ironically the BBC stumbled on a really important story: Desperate asylum seekers being forced to turn to fraudulent fee-charging “advisors” to navigate a system that is intentionally impossibly baroque and from which all sources of free advice have been removed.

But no: they chose Fake Gay Panic.

Book cover of Deadbeat Druid by David R Slayton

13/2026: Deadbeat Druid by David Slayton. Much of a muchness with the rest of the series, though I think the spooky carnivalesque underworld is my favourite setting of the lot.

“authors have no obligation to listen to the opinions of their readership on how the work should progress” does not mean “you aren’t allowed to criticize the work” it just means the author doesn’t have to obey feedback from the general public. Like hello
