A photo of a table in a bar. On it are two LPs: Songs From The Big Chair by Tears for Fears, and the new XTC live record for which I definitely didn’t spend a night in a hotel and three and a half hours in a queue. Also: a cosmopolitan
Not a bad day.

I have done well...
Actual boots with Live Boots (and tulips). Happy Record Store Day! @recordstoredayuk.bsky.social
Ha, afraid not. I would have added Apple Venus
XTC are, by a distance, the best band since the Beatles. Heirs apparent, in fact. Andy Partridge up there with the best songwriters in history. Their run of albums from Drums and Wire to Non-such the greatest of all time. Not one track below a 7/10

Fingers crossed! Have a great Friday, Andrew!

It seems Andy Partridge's 'Fuzzy Warbles, Vol 1' album is available on various streaming sites (I have the collection on CD already). Think it's legit.
On Record Store Day, XTC are releasing Live Boots, a recording of their gig at Emerald City, New Jersey, on 17 April 1981. Sitting behind the sound desk was Gary Bradshaw, today’s guest on What Do You Call That Noise? The XTC Podcast.

That's an excellent one, too!
On this day in 1999, the band released the single EASTER THEATRE. The song was taken from the band's penultimate studio album, Apple Venus Volume 1. #XTCmusic

Both excellent tracks!
Good choice, though!
The photo's from the Complicated Game book by Todd Bernhardt and Andy. :)

I'll have to go looking on eBay and see if I can find a copy

Huge thank you to everyone who joined in tonight. This week has been an awful one for my family so it's been nice to have something positive to focus on this evening. The next party will be on Wed 29 April 9pm (BST) as we listen along to 1980's Black Sea album. Hope you can make it. #XTCmusic
All praise to Limelight fanzine!
