It is extremely clear that these people don't understand the technology they are throwing billions at but they are terrified that if they don't get there first everyone else will eat their lunch, when the reality is that those who take a more cautious approach are going to be the only ones standing.

Can't wait for someone to take out a massive loan on the basis that ChatGPT told them that's how much something would cost only for it to turn out that is completely untrue and then sue the bank and ChatGPT for providing inaccurate financial advice.

And that's a best case scenario!

They want you to be able to load up ChatGPT, talk to it about what a dream holiday would look like, and then click a button and take out a loan to finance what you just talked about.

Yeah tbh he just strikes me as having the level of entitlement and privilege where he's never had to be particularly bright outside his one area of specialty (justifying abusive tactics for the police) and he confuses his expertise in that area as genius in all areas.
