In positive news, today my Mom picked up the barn cat and held him like a baby, belly up. Good little dude loves my mom, and just laid in her arms, utterly bewildered. #barncat #dogpeople

Watching my MIL succumb to Parkinson's has been utterly heartbreaking. Our population is aging and we will be facing huge numbers of dementia patients. We NEED to find ways to help our friends and family with these cruel diseases. No one else is going to fund this necessary research but us.

What's next, blaming black people for police violence? Women for not fitting back while being raped? How about we blame the GOP, as they are the ones doing this to us.

Democracy with checks and balances takes time to work and requires checks who are willing to do the work. GOP refuses to impeach and Musk et al refuse to listen to our democratic ideals and respect the courts. It's NOT normal and it's a slow-fast takeover by authoritarian control.
