The lyric "How I look is how I touch" in Chappell Roan's The Giver is a much worse version of the lyrical trick in "She's touching his chest now" from Mr. Brightside. Both because touching and f***ing in this context aren't that semantically different and because it's still a slant rhyme.
Look, I'm not going to eliminate the possibility of a cyberattack, but it seems far more likely that the website running on a shell of its staff simply didn't prepare for a mass traffic event.
Youtube adding the "important notifications" feature that already sucked on iOS to the desktop version of the site is deeply irritating. And it's not like it even makes them money, it just makes their site less usable for no benefit.
So as much as Women's sports have some struggles getting equal footing these days, so much progress has been made in my lifetime. Coming across a random story like this, or seeing how many WCBB coaches from history don't even have an identifiably picture, really hammers that home.
Except Falkenberg wasn't hired to coach basketball. Sure, she had played basketball -- at UCLA even -- but she had been hired to coach tennis. In fact, she was the head tennis coach from 1991-1999. She had played in the Australian Open 3 years prior.
In 1991-92, UCF women's basketball was coached by Gail Falkenberg. She led the team to a 10-18 record; not great, but the team had just lost eventual WNBA draft pick Tari Phillips (And wasn't exactly great in the first place -- they were 10-15 in 1990-91).
Huh. Apparently terrible performer of country music Walker Hayes' first name is Charles.
Which means that we have likely found both the best Chuck Hayes and the worst.
The crazy thing to me is that even the people who like this new album are praising it as a worse version of a bad Kanye album.
