LP cover of Secos & Molhados self-titled debut album from 1973. The four band members’ heavily made-up heads are arranged on silver platters on a dining table. None of the four look particularly happy about this.

Lovely to revisit this LP. This is a dodgy boot and has moments of excruciating sibilance, but the prog-infused Brazilian psyche folk rises above.
LP cover of Trees 1970 debut album “In The Garden of Jane Delawney”.

Ain’t got the dollar for no original UK pressing. So this is the very fine Earth Recordings reissue which sounds lovely spilling forth ce moment.

This beautiful LP is the opposite of a “Friday night record”. Though it sounds wonderful - as always - on this particular Friday night.
LP cover of David Sylvian’s 1984 debut solo album “Brilliant Trees”. David, looking as cool as the other David, is standing in a park quite near some trees.

Fun fact: Session guitarist on this LP, Phil Palmer, is the nephew of Ray and Dave Davies of the Kinks.
Good call. I’ll have to stick that on.
I would take “80s” out of that statement.
LP cover of Lloyd Cole & The Commotions debut album “Rattlesnakes”.

This one lives close to the record player for obvious reasons.
Tina is a treasure. They even named a Dorset holiday resort after her.
It’ll sound great through your Rega. That propulsive bass on Wordy Rappinghood. Mmmmm.
Time to remedy.

Sounding pulsatingly fresh.
And it was a sunnier day.

Absolute shoe-in.
Lovely front cover design (by Frances Castle) of “Oneiric” LP from Rural Tapes on Clay Pipe Music.
Always a great post day when Jeff (the Postman) delivers a cardboard square. Today’s contained this from @claypipemusic.bsky.social

Lewes Potters Bar sounds like a pub owned by a Brentford player.
Two seven-inch records from Wrongtom - including Wrongtom meets Desta Zion “Somethin’ Else” and a bonus for good behaviour- resting atop a load of jazz LPs.
Just back from school shoe shopping and this was waiting. 🙌
Cheers to @wrongtom.bsky.social and Jeff the Postman.
Any schnitzel action yet?

I’d like to hear the LP where a bloke from Hartlepool meets a French girl.
Been down a wiki-shaped rabbit hole: Dave Richmond, who plays bass on this, was a member of Manfred Mann and, best of all, played the fretless bass on the theme to ‘Last Of The Summer Wine’.
LP cover of Histoire De Melodie Nelson by Serge Gainsbourg. Jane Birkin, wearing nothing but blue denim flares and a wig, adorns the cover.

Lovely arrangements by Jean-Claude Vannier, wonderful bass guitar, some yelps and the unmistakeable voice of a man who smoked his fags right down to the butt.
I think I left Tago Mago out in the second semi, so have made up for it with Future Days last time and Ege Bamyasi this time.
Hi Rich,
