anecdotally i’ve only ever seen this done by cis people to trans people and they won’t ask other cis people their pronouns. so it’s just them clocking that you’re trans basically

i would much rather they assume i put a lot of effort into my transition to communicate what my pronouns are intuitively

it’s usually well-meaning people i like so i just explain to them later that it didn’t accomplish what they were going for
