I had. It was Brian Wilson. I only discovered this after he had left to, as I also found out, rejoin Eric Bourdon in the bar. By this time it was late and we were leaving and I had missed my chance to speak with two of the major influences on my love of music growing up. RIP Brian Wilson.

He was a bit older than the rest of the band members and I surmised he was a member of the public from the bar next door who had joined them for a song or two. The look of glee on his face was ecstatic. He was having a ball and I could not shake the feeling I had seen him somewhere before.

I was at a Christmas party in a Melbourne hotel and the band was shoehorned into a small space behind my chair. They took a break and when they returned a new keyboard player was seated beside me.
