Refuse to believe they haven’t already made a decision on this. Think it’s Europe-dependant. Unlikely, but still a possibility; 6th could still get CL…

If he’s not going to be there next year, he still deserves a send off despite how it’s panned out. For him not to get one would be a huge shame.

In hindsight, he probably should have just waited another season anyway. Champions league and World Cup year - 2 years left on contract; more affordable for other clubs and by extension an even higher salary. I’d like to think this would have been #NUFC ‘s argument. All in the past now…

Gabriel is a nasty piece of work. Gets away with it every time too. Zero red cards this season.

Lots of factors at play. Could be argued he simply excels in lower possession and counter attacking-style teams.

“Doesn’t just disappear in these big games, does he” did you mean to say?

Isak and Wissa will no doubt serve as a cautionary tales for footballers looking to go nuclear to secure a move. Fitness and conditioning can’t be overlooked for pros in the modern game.

It’s now starting to look like a change would suit everybody.

Freshers’ week 2009 would like a word…

Think we can put two and two together there. Hope we get a good price as quickly as possible.

And even then where does Woltemade factor in? Huge mess. Wouldn’t be surprised if we decide to tear it down, sold them all and start over again the summer..

Whilst I think we’re not expecting much much from Wissa until after a full preseason. You have to wonder why he isn’t at least getting more minutes. Is Osula getting the nod a shop window exercise or is Wissa getting bombed out?

Howay mate, Wissa will come good and Woltemade will make a great midfielder - I promise!

Be kind to yourself. Get some fresh air, take a little trip away if you can. A change of surroundings for a bit perspective. Everything will be ok!

Sincerely hope Eddie and/or Andy Howe are not involved in the buying of this new album.

Oooh weekend narrative #NUFC

(It’s not happening lads)

Don’t see it happening. He’d be my number one if we had to change but he’s probably one of the most sought-after coaches out there. Quite a few of the ‘bigger’ clubs looking for a new manager and we’d be way down the queue. We can still dream!

I agree. It seems like a lame excuse but a lot conspired against us, small margins in some cases, but we never moved past it. No reason we can’t course correct this summer but my worry is everyone involved with NUFC looks done-in. Season could still get worse from here. Fear for Howe.

I wasn’t going to but then I caved. Can’t really argue with much of it tbf. Yesterday was bad. Genuinely intrigued how this weekend plays out.

For a split second I thought we’d been Ornbombed when I got in from work and opened up BlueSky and saw a pic of Eddie #NUFC

Maybe, probably. Who knows? Isak’s still a twat though.

Think by that point we had reached absolute desperation. Let’s not pretend Wissa £55m was ever a priority. We went in for Delap, Pedro and Ekitike even before Isak kicked off. That guy unquestionably made our situation 10x worse.

Happy birthday! Hoped you wished for the season to end immediately.

I mean, would have helped if every other club wasn’t in for a striker during the same summer.

Agree on the shitshow part. Don’t think we’d be that worse off if we hadn’t spent a penny.

Wouldn’t have needed to

Not to deflect from EH, but Alexander Isak... Could have just said he wasn’t signing a new deal and got on with it. Going on strike? Twat. Never should have let him get that move. Season was over before it started.

*If* that was true it only speaks to poor and lazy ownership. I’m sure all managers want as much control as possible, doesn’t mean they should get it - especially when those in charge can’t be asked to govern.

Howe may not have matched his own standards this season, but he’s been the only consistently “of standard” thing about the club since DA left. He’s been asked to do more than his remit and that also has consequences.

You’d think any infrastructure worth its salt already knows this and has its ducks in a row with that manager already lined up. Be it Howe or not.
