I really enjoyed the works of Neil Gaiman growing up, though in the age of social media I didn’t much care for him and it put me off his work. Still it’s disappointing to find out he had all this horrible stuff hidden under the surface and camouflaged himself under a veneer of self righteousness.

The proof that @frayed-symphony.bsky.social loves me is that she’s listened to me excitedly rant about why the Gremlins 2 game for the NES has the best music on multiple occasions and still tolerates my company

Ranma 1/2 was the manga series I’d buy and read as much as I could afford as a kid in the days before they kept manga reading right to left, but awkwardly mirrored it all. Enjoying the recent anime adaptation as an excuse to revisit the fond memories and dig out my battered, ancient manga

I got caught up in a whirlwind of nostalgia and replayed Sonic Adventure 2. There’s some fun bits and cool ideas in there but I must have had jank blindness and the patience of a saint when I played through that game as a kid.

The Secret Level short for Mega Man is cute but that origin story is such well worn territory and the Bomb Man redesign didn’t exactly blow my mind. I enjoyed the Spelunky 2 episode.

Completed the Silent Hill 2 remake with the Leave ending. Still a very good game, the line “Then why do you look so sad?” by itself in context almost makes me cry. Remake is very good and graphically looks phenomenal.
