It’s pretty clutch, but I found the iOS app drained battery when left on when not needed. Also look into the lease renewal timing (forget the exact phrasing) on your NAS— I did end up unable to access remotely once.

Set up Karabiner-Elements with the "Fine volume control (rev 3)" modifications that map volume keys to `shift+option+vol` to force partial adjustment.
This is useful for devices like headphones or USB DACs that are too loud at the single volume box level but go mute when hitting volume down.

Wrote a little CLI to control the Govee lights in my newly-better-lit basement. General workflow has been using the kind of crappy provided app, getting status via API, then creating presets for the CLI and porting them to the Shortcuts apps on laptop & iPhone
