I wouldn't interpret all criticism as dismissal.

And honestly, after seeing the courage so many of my students displayed, and the price they paid for it, I'm not about to start nitpicking how they engage with protest. They've led by the example of their actions, as far as I'm concerned.

Anecdotal evidence, but I have students who have been critical of No Kings in this way, but are *still going*. (I've literally crossed paths with them at protests.) The two aren't mutually exclusive. They are also going to other, less sanctioned protests that just don't get the same coverage.
