The current FOI act allows the public to request government records — and has compelled the province to disclose documents revealing the Greenbelt land scandal, the Skills Development Fund controversy and others.
The changes would restrict access to those kinds of records.

Congress passed a law in 2023 that specifically states that in order for the USA to withdraw from NATO it requires either majority in both the House and Senate, or a 2/3 vote in the Senate.
