By all accounts, that dude just loves playing the Beast.
It's like how Frank Langella still says Skeletor was one of his favourite roles.

If you want to know all about how Doctor Doolittle went wrong, I strongly recommend John Gregory Dunne's The Studio and @markharris.bsky.social's Pictures at a Revolution.
It’s up there with John Patrick Shanley.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen stand-ins / doubles
I just want to know what Robert Altman had to say about Star Trek: First Contact.

A painting (used as a magazine poster) by Earl Norem of various Masters of the Universe characters fighting
I do believe there is such a thing as good art and bad art. But I also believe there should be a museum of toy packaging and marketing art so I can stand in front of this Masters of the Universe poster by Earl Norem and talk about its composition like it's The School of Athens
Small simple toys. Green turtle, blue rhino, purple gorilla, and yellow tiger.
The same toys transformed into multicolored, simple robots with tiki faces and weirdly beefy arms.
Arby’s Jungle Zoids were a Beast Wars style line from 1996. I’d never heard of them until @adam16bit.bsky.social discovered them last week.
I like the stylized beast modes and the bright colors. The Trogdor arms on most of them aren’t good, but they’re charming.

Peter Parker has a “last supper” in Spectacular Spider-Man #79, by Bill Mantlo and Al Milgrom.
Spider-Man gets crucified in Uncanny X-Man #191, by Chris Claremont and John Romita Jr.
Spider-Man rises from the grave in Kraven’s Last Hunt, by J.M DeMatteis and Mike Zeck.
Happy Easter from your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man!
I may have done this exercise before, but as an object lesson in how short comics history actually is (or how old I am), here's a trading card I drew for DC over a tweaked layout revised and faxed to me by Joe Orlando. So if you've worked with me, you're one degree of separation from the Golden Age.
Screenshot of Joker and Batman from the Adam West Batman series surfing. Joker says "Cowabunga, Bat-Drip! As surfers go, it looks like you're all wet! Ahahaha!", to which Batman replies "Shut the fuck up! Fuck you!"
One of the all-time-great scenes of Cinema
It’s been a long time since I saw someone deploy the Arrow of Shame.
“What a view…”
“To a kill!”
“Ranger Brad, I’m a scientist. I don’t believe in anything.”
(Me circa like, 2016): I get why Jack wanted to vent about Stan but man, Roy Thomas is catching some strays
(Me, 2026, after learning more about Roy Thomas): Fuck HouseRoy
Taylor Swift in a lion head vest holding Spider-Man's mask
My most unhinged Saturday commission.
Taylor Swift as Kraven
I think they hired the oldest, squarest people possible to work for the CCA by then. That’s right around the time D.G. Chichester got “teldildonics” into an issue of Daredevil.
Listen, I am a vital, youthful person.
I know her from Men in Black.
The first panel brings to mind the last shot of The Seventh Seal, albeit with more ostriches.
Doug and the Slugs were simultaneously two decades ahead of their time and two decades behind the time, and subsequently never quite realized their potential.
In all things, carcinisation is inevitable.
If we get Walton Goggins as Cobra Commander and Edi Patterson as the Baroness, this whole Landis rigamarole may have been almost worth it.
I always thought she was a fun villain, and it's a shame she's barely turned up since that Thunderbolts run.
Also: I love that Joystick has a little aside here in a smaller font, which is one of Tom DeFalco’s signature moves.
When did your obsession with hot toxic women begin?
I’m still hoping that @gailsimone.bsky.social will bring back the X-Men’s greatest villain - Chef Boyardee…
He’s wearing a rubber mask over another rubber mask! He must be so sweaty.
