There are still people trying to convince me he’s been a good signing. Even seen some praising him for his availability. Blows my mind.

Him and Madueke are two of the worst signings we’ve ever made. One hundred and ten millions pounds!?
I was laughing when Madrid turned them over in the CL, but I think having that extra time off between games has really helped them and hindered us. Despite the misses, Havertz needs to start up front now. Timber coming back would be great too. Let’s see more of Dowman on the right too.
Considering how things are going for both teams right now, I’d just be happy for us to still have a chance of doing it on the final day.
Yeah, the fatigue is going to cost us, it possibly has already. Newcastle is always a grind, West Ham will be fighting to stay up. No easy games. Just a shame we haven’t got a forward in good form. Feel like we need some magic when the games are a slog but our magic was set pieces, but not now.
Sort of agree, although at the moment it’s basically the same performance regardless of situation. I don’t think we’ll make the final, but I still think there’s a glimmer of hope we can limp over the line in the league. City’s form since the break isn’t looking good for us though.
I’m not even sure the game would’ve gone much different had we not won the first leg
Tbf, I’d rather see this front 3 tonight and something different on Sunday.
Chuck in Livramento too for his duels and injury history
It would be nice to play to the strengths of the players we have though. Gyökeres is good at one thing really, so why not try to get the best out of him, especially when nothing else is working. Martinelli good on counters, but we don’t play quick enough to get the best out of him. Frustrating.
Bizarre isn’t it? I don’t understand the signing considering how little he’s been used. He’s a more than competent PL midfielder and should absolutely have more than 56 league minutes this season. The Brentford and/or Wolves games were ideal for him to start. Rice + Zubi played full mins in both.
The players’ reactions after the 2-1 win were quite telling
Yeah, the play style is absolutely part of the cause but think of the lesser games, early rounds of the cups, some of the CL games where players could’ve been given a break. Rice and Zubi playing so much and Norgaard barely featuring even when the starters are clearly knackered. So frustrating.
This is what frustrates me more than anything else. Ample opportunity to rotate the key players and keep them fresh for the run in, yet here we are again.
Where does that 1.04 put Arsenal in the PL average?
They’re more reliable than us right now
This is it. I’ll obviously be delighted if we manage to do it, but we just haven’t been good to watch. Other than a handful of games, the football is so dull. Some games, I’d have switched over if it were another team. He’s done an amazing job to take us this far, but unless there’s some trophies…
I’m finally on board. I’m ready for Cesc’s homecoming.
Needed for sure
Excited to see Trossard come on and do nothing
How many of them do you think would perform better with different tactics/manager?
Is it Martin Tyler? I always thought he might be an Arsenal fan. He sounds more excited about Martinelli darting inside than he does the actual goal. It sounds like when commentary gets put on a game afterwards.
Is it Arne Slot, or is it that fella from the Spurs back room staff?
It’s bizarre that we *could* win the PL and/or CL this season, yet I’d still happily see 6-7 first team squad players leave in the summer.
Haha! I’m worried the law of averages will catch us up in the league. Can’t carry on playing that way and sneaking results.
Just keep up the reverse-jinxing players until May please. I think we’re going to need it.
The lack of excitement from the commentator is a bit weird for a last minute winner for an English club in Europe
You caused that. Well done.
Praying the Kvara rumour has some substance, even though we all know it’ll result in him getting a pay rise in Paris.
Absolutely, though the frustration is, if we don’t go and do it now there is little to be optimistic about for next season.
