Has anyone tried introducing System of a Down to the Groypers? I feel like that might cure them.

We are at a major crossroads this 4th of July:
Will we allow a powerful few to whitewash our past and lock in inequality for another generation?
Or will we take up the baton from our ancestors and repair what’s been broken—together?

This is an assault on the Reconstruction Amendments by a Neo-Confederate Court wedded to the far-right argument that those amendments were illegitimate and destroyed the original intent of the Founders, which was to create a white man's country
looking forward to some parents suing to demand segregated schools because integration violates their religious beliefs
photo of crowd outside the supreme court holding signs that "too hot for a fascist future" "too hot to be erased" "they're banning equality" and "MAGA Justice are taking away our hard won freedoms
We're out here in front of the Supreme Court to send the white supremacist faction a clear message:
We're too hot to be dragged back.
We're too hot to be erased.
We're too hot for a fascist future.
We cannot allow the MAGA SCOTUS justice to take away our hard-won freedoms. Join us out here.
Fast-tracking immigration for White South Africans, holding Ukrainians in limbo, and calling for immediate deportation for Haitians, Venezuelans, Cubans, and Nicaraguans.
Journalists need to start speaking clearly to the ethno-nationalist project that is underway.

We cannot let this faction erase the wins of our ancestors & drag us backwards. Young people are building power, defending our freedoms, and fighting whitewashing.
The backlash to the backlash is coming.
It’s time to continue our legacy & take the next step: airtable.com/appdkEQROTfE...
The movement that erupted 5 years ago may be less visible now, but it lives on. It is the newest manifestation of the movement for freedom and equality, which has only grown throughout our country’s nearly 250-year history. And it is growing still.
Their movement is shrinking, and they are the last desperate manifestation of an idea whose time has passed. At this very moment, they are overplaying their hand, going too far, turning the public against them.
It may feel like we have never been farther from repairing the violence of white supremacy.
But this regime does not act from a place of strength, it acts from a place of weakness
Today, they helm our government, and as they work to reverse the progress of not just the last 20 years but the last 200, it may seem like they won. They are unraveling civil rights victories, whitewashing history, and attacking institutions that commit to challenging discrimination.
As the streets emptied, a white supremacist faction plotted its revenge. Since that moment five years ago, they have used every tool at their disposal to memory-hole that movement, criminalize the truth, and entrench the structures of white supremacy that they rely on to hold onto power.
Suddenly, for the first time in many of our lives, the lies and structures of white supremacy slipped, and a just, fair, equal society was within reach. The power and potential of this rising generation were, for the first time, visible.
And that terrified the wealthy, white few.
Legislators introduced reparations commissions in states & cities all over the country. Corporations commit to doing their part to investigate and undo discrimination. The momentum swept a nakedly white nationalist regime out of power.
Young people mobilized from the largest cities to the smallest towns & everywhere in between. Demonstrations grew larger every day.
It is these fighters who created the largest protest moment in United States history. Who changed the narrative and then moved policy.
Because Floyd’s murder happened in this particular moment & history, it was met by a new generation of freedom fighters. Fighters who had seen enough. Fighters who stood on their ancestors' shoulders. Fighters who mobilized to get free from the entire system of white supremacy.
Floyd’s murder happened in the wake of 8 years of the Movement for Black Lives, after decades of the Black Power Movement, after generations of the Civil Rights Movement, after centuries of the movement to abolish enslavement
Floyd’s murder happened in the immediate aftermath of the murders of Ahmaud Arbery & Breonna Taylor, amidst a global pandemic carving its fatalities across red lines of discrimination & exclusion, and after centuries of failing to reckon with or rectify ongoing legacies of enslavement and genocide.
George Floyd’s murder did not happen in a vacuum.
It occurred in a lineage of white supremacist violence.
This week marks five years since George Floyd was murdered at the hands of the Minneapolis Police Department. His murder was not just an unmistakable act of police brutality, but an undeniable marker of the systemic anti-Black racism that has haunted America since the times of enslavement.
Hurts to give so many props to Harvard but damn, they're killing it.

More of this. To hell with finger to the wind politics.
Paul Weiss and Columbia are taking exactly the wrong actions in acceding to Trump, and they are among the entities most well-positioned to fight back.
These are legacy-shaming decisions by the leadership of both, and those far less powerful will now, and surely in short order, pay the price.

i like that trump has basically made segregation a condition of everything he touches.
Impossible to foresee how many of us will die prematurely due to the campaign against science this administration is running.
If Democrats understood what leadership was they would be barricading the DOE right now and overnight to prevent it from being pillaged.

Next season of Love is Blind needs to be cast from New Yorkers. This Minnesota-Nice Love Is Blind cast is killing me. I can't take the tip-toeing and passive aggression. I need some active aggression.
