Just for those who may be a little confused: Hakeem Jeffries protesting Trump’s brutal bill by delivering the longest House floor speech in U.S. history isn’t performative. Wearing an overnight maxi pad on your ear after an alleged “assassination attempt” is performative.

Mr. President, you love playing the schoolyard bully but, at age 79, it’s time to cut it out. It’s one thing to steal one kid’s lunch money, but your bill STEALS LUNCH MONEY FROM MILLIONS OF KIDS. Now, that’s real ugly.

It’s time to open the books. An investigation needs to be opened into just how much has been spent on the deportations, the detainments, the unknown Stasi. The hotels, per diems. I want to know how much of taxpayer money has been spent to date. How they’re being paid, how much they’re being paid.

REPUBLICANS & SKEPTICS: What did the No Kings protests accomplish?

ANSWER: The anti-Trump movement is being noticed. Politicians are paying attention and will feel safer speaking out. The White House sees that Trump overreached.

Plainclothes agents in at least a dozen cities have arrested migrants who showed up to their court hearings. And across the U.S., people suspected of being in the country illegally are disappearing into the federal detention system without notice to families or lawyers, according to attorneys, witnesses and officials. In Coral Springs, Fla., at least eight agents in tactical gear, shields and rifles surrounded a home with guns raised to arrest a father with no criminal history. In Irvine, Calif., ICE agents drove a phalanx of military vehicles in the Orange County suburb to arrest a person, though not for illegal immigration. They were seeking a resident’s son who had allegedly posted fliers alerting neighbors to the presence of ICE agents.
