Awful to hear, and shouldn't the team put him on IL? It was an obvious illness affecting his ability to play?

Good scrappy player back in the day
Well-travelled yet solid career!
Lauer's work today a great example of how a pitcher battles to help his team on a day when he does't have it.
As Will Klein comes in for Dodgers, he was seen as a hero going 4 scoreless during that epic WS game 3. By that point half of our lineup was the bench, including Straw, IKF, and Heineman. Few people mention Eric Lauer went 4 2/3 scoreless against full LA line-up. But Jays lost so be it. #BlueJays
So who will be our long reliever du jour tomorrow? The Jays will most likely have to DFA Fleming and find another arm to cover tomorrow.
I think that was a good trade for us
I think they will keep Heineman with Scherzer specifically though given how intimidating it might be
Yes. I think Heineman was likely already scheduled sit tomorrow, but the Jays can't afford to cut him with Kirk out.
Feel bad for him. Heineman has been good for us, but I recall last season there was a game or two where he made a series of mistakes too. Not sure if it's a mental thing. Take a break tomorrow and ready to catch Max on Monday. We will need him.
Not just beneficial, but absolutely necessary
Before even discussing Little, I mean Estrada was doing perfectly fine and we are only in the 6th. No need for the Blue Jays to take him out.
Okay no personal attacks at the man, but I don't think there is any way the Blue Jays can afford to have Brendon Little on the roster now. Need to send him down to AAA. #BlueJays
The back andforth between Bell and Jimy Williams about refusing to DH that spring was epic.
Alejandro Kirk is the one position player the Blue Jays can least afford to lose, even more than Vladdy because of the position he plays. Wish him a quick recovery. The other guys need to step up big time. Look forward to seeing what the young catcher Valenzuela can do. #BlueJays
Who is the emergency catcher this year? Clement then Varsho?
Ernie is too important to use for mop up duty now
Would have left Little out there another inning. Not sure how they will finish the game. Last time Heineman came in he couldn't even finish.
Fisher, Nance, Fluharty showing our depth in the bullpen today. Great to see.
Wish Leo well. Maybe he will get similar opportunities like Otto did.
I know one game is an extremely small sample, but Hoffman and Little are giving me bad vibes already. I will be delighted if they prove me totally wrong. Or maybe it's just Shea Langeliers. #BlueJays
Loved his books!
Excited to hear about new digitalized source for learning about the history of Vancouver Chinatown!

Kevin, are there any stories or anecdotes about how that was his only game? Glad he made it to The Show.
Pitched on one day's rest to try make 200 in final season. Not pretty but defense did not help. Watched that game, it was quite awkward. Anyhow, a terrific career and the perfect game.
Yes, Henke is on top of my list too!
A great idea. Good for the Jays and Buck! Moving forward it is great that the fans will have a say, but I don't want the Hall of Excellence be a popularity contest either.
Haven't followed closely, may I ask what course is this for?
After Buck, first names that come to mind include Tom Henke and Bobby Mattick.
Almost some tears of joy and I watched this. So happy for Buck Martinez and all the fans who have advocated for this. We'll.done Blue Jays! I look forward to attending a game in Toronto just to check out this new Hall of Excellence!
