Damn this is stress testing my knowledge of French.

God damn two Techmeme links in as many days, that's a big fucking deal. Congrats.
Every accusation is a confession.
Inflation only up 2% though.
Even assuming this is an alternative, this would be well out of reach and usability for people who want to interface with a chat bot casually. Very few will pay more than $20 a month to ask ChatGPT about inane bullshit that amounts to basically advanced search.
Anthropic is moving to API billing, Microsoft is going to do it too, I guess OpenAI is probably not far behind. Now the claims of "they can just increase prices like Uber did" will be put to the test. Will people pay $200 a month minimum for ChatGPT? Guess we're gonna find out!
Maybe more stringent or strict is a good way to describe it?
It must be very fun going from expletive laden blogs to professionally written news articles.
What even is money at this point?
Motherfucker thinks he has a 100% approval rating based on a poll where they asked people who approve of Trump if they approve of Trump.
I loved him in Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes. I think he was the guy who explained what MUF is to Snake.
Wow that is shockingly bad.
Nevermind it's a satirical fake but I think it's based on the guy who pretended to be a former member of antifa that has also gone on Fox as other people.

Talk about stolen valor, how egregious.
I was already a journalist so I also passed on history.
Maybe that'd be an issue but Digital Foundry didn't mention that at all so I have a feeling they don't even know that snippet. To be fair, I didn't either, but if their argument solely rests on Prism not being good, Qualcomm begs to differ.
I feel like this is a weird thing to be concerned about when Snapdragon X2 laptops so far show pretty good gaming performance. I'd be surprised if Prism holds gaming back except perhaps when targeting higher framerates like 120 FPS.
Here's a link, it's not an amazing paper but when you're writing about how historiography is very bad on a particular subject it tends to not be super interesting.

It's a 10/10 for me if it's basically the 3DS version. I kinda wish Nintendo gave us the option between sharing or no censorship but oh well. Guess we're all gonna have to become better artists.
The math is hard to argue with. Point at inflation all you want, but when you crunch the numbers based on median income and expenses, it really does not look good. Unless there's some specific reason why the median doesn't make sense.
Imagine having so much money that you're giving away billions of dollars per year and you're still in the green by a few billion. Granted, Amazon stock can go up and down (and it's been down quite badly lately) but the overall trend is absolutely upwards.
I wrote a paper for my history degree on the Spanish Flu in early 2021 and I very optimistically thought that COVID would increase the interest in studying the Spanish Flu, but nope, the same thing happened to COVID instead! I should have seen it coming.
I don't think it's necessarily malicious but the way they calculate CPI is obviously flawed. Biggest problem I see is all this complicated mumbo jumbo about tech products and housing, instead of just using what people are actually paying, which is the only thing that matters.
Honestly I think the official inflation figures vastly underestimate what's actually going on. How Money Works did a video on how weirdly some things are calculated which I think sort of explains the problem. CPI is just not informative anymore.

Great article if you're curious why people are still upset over inflation. If post COVID inflation was 1000%, do you think consumers would be happy as long as prices remained the same for a year? We're at 20% or so in 5 years when it should be close to 10%. This sucks.
This is like casinos accusing each other of breaking gambling laws.
Forget oil, it's now an international political incident. There's a big difference between Iran saying only some ships can go through versus the US saying nobody can. This is probably the worst thing Trump can do for literally everyone including himself.
Literally the whole point of this show is that this lady is basically Sherlock Holmes and just fucking knows what's going on at a single glance. She doesn't need fucking CoPilot. What the fuck are we doing?
Sorry I forgot to mention I'm watching it with my "beautiful loving wife." Direct quote.
