The Globe called me “mild mannered”, able to work with anyone, but stubborn enough to get things done.
The loudest voice in the room rarely passes the bill. Neither does the one that goes along to get along.
By being laser focused on delivering, you can do big things.

Democrat or Republican. Conservative or socialist or somewhere in between. Everyone seems to agrees on one thing: we need new leadership in the statehouse.
The last generation had to stop the bad. Smog in the air. Neighborhoods bulldozed.
Today’s problems demand the opposite. To solve climate change, we have to build clean energy. To end the housing shortage, we meed more housing. To get out of traffic, we have to better transit.
Halfway done with east Medford!
Medford passed a $7.5M override. Winchester rejected $11.5M. Somerville froze hiring to avoid the ballot entirely.
Three cities, one broken system. Prop 2½ shouldn’t make funding schools and roads a gamble every few years.
This is genuinely different from past presidencies. Different from even Trump’s first term. Massachusetts has been targeted, specifically and repeatedly.
My favorite tree in Medford
I asked, you answered, and so East Medford here I come!
Every email I send, you can read. Every meeting I’m in, you can watch. The State House demands that level of transparency from every school committee and city council in Massachusetts.
But they exempt themselves.
They literally said they couldn’t work under the rules they set for the rest of us.
Yeah but the promised mitigation was after the big dig itself was built
While we’re talking about transit and the Big Dig, let’s remember the job isn’t done. The Green Line was supposed to go Route 16.
Gov Patrick & Secretary Pollack put it in writing.
Then the money got redirected and the promise got shelved.
I’ll fight for the last mile.
Love the e-ink displays!
In just four days, I knocked on the door of every primary voter in West Medford and basically walked every street! Where in Medford should I go next?
Burhan has been able to raise the most so far this cycle, but he didn't start with a war chest like the other candidates. I just donated!
As always the voters will decide, but I want Burhan to have the funds he needs to get his message out and make his case to voters.
This is the gap we need to close, if we want to win
Help us close the $100k gap. Voteburhan.com
Join me for lunch and let’s talk about THE UPCOMING WALL
Here you go!
Finished canvassing last night at 8 PM. Now it’s 9 AM and I’m out here again!
Just finished 26 miles! I’ve door knocked about half of west Medford!
It’s a lot, but you gotta show up, show that you care, and to earn peoples support!
Because of the choices made by the state legislature, the MBTA spends a quarter of its annual revenues just on debt service.
"It's basically Klarna, for public transit."
To make our transit system work, we need to fix that. And we need state reps who will push for change to make it happen.
We once had the best metro system in North America, then we broke it, and now we finally have the chance to fix it
For those following along at home, I canvassed about 3% of Medford yesterday. I had 4 hours of meetings so hopefully, today will be faster!
Now that @burhanazeem.bsky.social is running for State office, Macy's is selling his look at its store downtown.
We’ve raised the most money, Q1 and we’re gonna knock on the most doors. Chipping in on voteBurhan.com so we can keep going!
We’ve raised the most money Q1 of any candidate in our race, we’re in the top 4 for any senate race this year.
We can and we will win this!
Don’t worry I’ve been on it
Having a great chat with Rachael and lots of other great people in Medford this morning!
Sorry I mean 11 hours every day, 33 miles!
Excellent video from @burhanazeem.bsky.social—we can and should expand the @mbta.com. It is a thoroughly achievable goal that will provide transformative quality-of-life and economic benefits to people across the region!
