I once won a robot hoover at crazy Danish bingo at a tech conference. In an airport scanner they look remarkably like landmines 😂 had a fun conversation with the security team at Billund airport explaining why there was a robot hoover in my carry on bag 😂

I had to take all my piercings out when I had my lung biopsy. Which was a bit of a nightmare when I had to put them all back in 😂

I was very upset I didn’t get any pictures of my lungs back when I had a lung biopsy!

Fingers crossed everything goes OK, it’s always so stressful when pets have to have operations.

It’s one of my favourite films of that era. Ackroyd is fantastic in it too.

As someone who had stage 4 cancer a while back, waaaaay ahead of ya! I have a regularly updated folder on my desktop with all the important stuff in, and an envelope that says “oh no I’m dead” that’s on a visible shelf in my home office that explains how to access it 😂

As someone who accidentally ended up being chair of governors of a primary school, the thought of being a councillor is a bit scary!

I’ve accidentally always ended up living near places that guarantee instant death in the event of nuclear war 😂 grew up in the 80s near Greenham common, and where I live now is close enough to a spy base to ensure obliteration 😂

I’ll always remember the bus loads of Chinese tourists at Mt Fuji, who’d rock up, take their photo by the sign and wander off, rather than take their photo in front of the ACTUAL VOLCANO the sign was for 😂

I used to go to Denmark regularly for work, and was genuinely surprised how much of it I could follow when watching late night TV 😂

Today we went to meet some rats as my daughter has expressed an interest in having pet rats. I think it’s safe to say she bonded with them 😂

New Mesh album is brilliant. Well worth the wait, this is going to be on heavy rotation for coding/running I reckon. I’ve always been surprised they’re not bigger over here, given they’re a British band. Genuinely great live too.

RJ Barker’s trilogies are good! I wouldn’t say it was light, but the tide child trilogy was awesome, and I’m thoroughly enjoying the Wyldwood one!

Definitely this, my local library growing up had two Goth librarians, who ensured it was always well stocked with the good stuff. I used to average 5 - 7 books a week. Pratchett, King, Tolkien, Herbert, you name it, I devoured it. Just let kids read!

The job market is weird at the moment. This is the longest I’ve been between contracts since COVID hit. On the plus side, got to do today’s long training run in the glorious sunshine. But if you need a friendly knowledgeable #umbraco freelancer with a ton of experience, give me a shout!
