As someone who accidentally ended up being chair of governors of a primary school, the thought of being a councillor is a bit scary!

I’m only having to look after one surly pre-teen and occasionally her pals, I feel your pain, you have it MUCH worse!
I’ve accidentally always ended up living near places that guarantee instant death in the event of nuclear war 😂 grew up in the 80s near Greenham common, and where I live now is close enough to a spy base to ensure obliteration 😂
I’ll always remember the bus loads of Chinese tourists at Mt Fuji, who’d rock up, take their photo by the sign and wander off, rather than take their photo in front of the ACTUAL VOLCANO the sign was for 😂
Did they make you do the special ritual where you put all your anger and hatred in a goose?
Now watch delicious in dungeon, because that’s AWESOME 😂
Genuinely gutted I couldn’t be there this weekend!
I used to go to Denmark regularly for work, and was genuinely surprised how much of it I could follow when watching late night TV 😂
This is why my aunt (who’s a Methodist minister) did the funerals of both her parents.
Picture shows a tree hanging over the Leeds Liverpool canal on a sunny day
It was a bit nice out on the canal for my run yesterday!
Taking over the galaxy via judicious application of snoo snoo!
I am SHENNANIGGON. The chebs of Kaos shall shepherd in the end of times……. Boioioioioioiiiiiing
A medium sized child bonds with a boy rat at a fancy rat show. Rats are ace by the way
Today we went to meet some rats as my daughter has expressed an interest in having pet rats. I think it’s safe to say she bonded with them 😂
New Mesh album is brilliant. Well worth the wait, this is going to be on heavy rotation for coding/running I reckon. I’ve always been surprised they’re not bigger over here, given they’re a British band. Genuinely great live too.
RJ Barker’s trilogies are good! I wouldn’t say it was light, but the tide child trilogy was awesome, and I’m thoroughly enjoying the Wyldwood one!
Definitely this, my local library growing up had two Goth librarians, who ensured it was always well stocked with the good stuff. I used to average 5 - 7 books a week. Pratchett, King, Tolkien, Herbert, you name it, I devoured it. Just let kids read!
The job market is weird at the moment. This is the longest I’ve been between contracts since COVID hit. On the plus side, got to do today’s long training run in the glorious sunshine. But if you need a friendly knowledgeable #umbraco freelancer with a ton of experience, give me a shout!
This is the same reason if a small child hands you a telephone shaped object, you HAVE to take the call 😃
I LOVE Stourhead, used to go there a LOT when we stayed with my Grandpa as a kid. Got to take my daughter when she was younger, as we were down that way for a family do, and I’m pleased to report she loved it too!
Yeah, I had that this morning too, looked out the window and thought “looks sunny” halfway to the school and I was freezing 😂
That reminds me of the trip to a nature reserve at primary school where a group of Canadian geese mugged a classmate by one of them pecking him in the balls so hard he dropped his sandwich, which the accomplice geese sneaking up behind then stole and ran off with 😂 it’s the thing EVERYONE remembers!
Forgive me Coco, for I have sinned. Five dreamies and a lickylix my child!
Does this mean you can look forward to additional boswellox and spurious digestivum cultures in your liquid meals? 😂 at least it’s not Nestle I guess?
Event though the platform itself is now a raging bonfire of awfulness, the friendships and community from the old days live on, albeit fractured across many platforms now.
Back in the day, the weird software community I’m a member of all congregated on Twitter and it was a wonderful, collaborative, and supportive tiny corner of the platform. I made friends and connections I still value today that have helped me have a good career in my chosen field!
I did this the other day, the box of leftover bolts and fixings from the kitchen we had fitted in our last house about 18 years ago came in handy recently! 😂
It’s the stick song 😃
It’s the dune 3 poster, but it’s saying stick! Stick stick stick stick, sticky sticky stick stick
Oh the fun that could be had there 😂 you’d be able to get away with anything, because they have no digital awareness whatsoever!
