AI Didn't Break the Senior Engineer Pipeline. It Showed That One Never Existed. Most organizations never had a model for developing engineers. They had an environment that produced growth by accident. AI just made the luck run out.

If coding is your favorite part of software engineering, keep coding. AI doesn't stop you. But if coding was the only part you were good at, that's a different conversation. The job was always bigger than the code. #bransoncognac blog.bryanl.dev/posts/ai-sen...

Can't get the QR URL from the image that's already in the computer and cloud backups? You can still point your phone camera at the computer screen.

My kitchen has 5x the work surface and 3x the storage than before. My ability to multi-task or tolerate interruptions for new snacks, alternate lunches, offers of help, and old dog at foot level is way up. Thinking on how this is a larger productivity metaphor.

You could add comments annotating the start and end of each code snippet with a unique identifier reference, and parse that in a build process.

Announcing OpenAPI Specification versions 3.0.4 and 3.1.1 - OpenAPI Initiative The OpenAPI Initiative is pleased to announce patch releases for versions 3.0 and 3.1 that provide a host of clarifications for the community

Telling the story of smaller slices of work without splashy new capabilities is challenging. I appreciate seeing how changelogs get woven with themes and purpose.

OpenAPI got me thinking about this last month with www.openapis.org/blog/2024/10...
