This is just to say

I have fired
the bureaucrats
throughout
your government

Even the ones
that were probably
keeping planes
in the air

Forgive me
I am not very smart
So efficiency
Much savings

This Kansas town hopes to incentivize remote workers to move there A small town in rural Kansas has offered income tax waivers, student loan repayments and more to incentivize remote workers to move there.

Leftists who want land and a quieter life should absolutely take these opportunities, build community, and help us flip the vote in red states.

I wanted to see a Luna Moth for years. After we moved I found one in my yard under the Black Walnut living out its last hours. Wings tattered, abdomen burst, and so beautiful I was brought to tears.

New — The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) was told this week by DOJ that they'd lose their funding if the org didn't remove any mentions of LGBTQIA+ issues from their public materials, I've learned. Staff were told they need to deadname trans kids in their reports to comply.

Found out that TWENTY emails is considered a lot to politicians on an issue.

TWENTY.

As in, they call that getting slammed.

So next time you see a request to email your rep, or call, keep that in mind.

TWENTY is a lot.

I've heard that employees should expect a new order in the coming weeks that they either need to pledge allegiance to 45, instead of the Constitution which they originally pledged to serve, or face termination. Is this true, or is this a fear-based (albeit believable) rumor?

Murphy: "Let's not pull any punches about why this is happening. Elon Musk makes billions off of his business with China. And China is cheering at this action today. There is no question that the billionaire class trying to take over our govt right now is doing it based on self-interest."

Pro tip: if your senator's/congressperson's DC office doesn't answer or their mailbox is full, call their regional offices.

Most senators have six regional offices. Just google your senator and you'll find it on their website.

Keep calling until you get a person or can leave a message.

I'm working on designing new native plant beds, and making sure there's a host plant for every caterpillar the baby birds in my neighborhood need to eat. I'm also going to be collecting cardboard to smother the grass in the unused, dead end alleyway so this block can grow a watermelon patch.

As a Librarian and Master Naturalist, I encourage you to visit your library and engage with conservation groups. While we wait for the next platform, attend a library program or learn the lifecycle of a bird outside your window. Let's try looking at this as a great time for slow, meaningful work.
