Thanks Tony! You're very kind

It's a weird one, in which I develop a view that I don't myself accept, but a fun one too! Conway's monism is quite puzzling!
I'm happy to share (on Anne Conway's 394th birthday, by coincidence) that my paper, "Priority Monism in Anne Conway: Mediation through the Whole," has been published in the Journal of Modern Philosophy

disliking Descartes is a character flaw
Sometimes I regret choosing academia, but then other times I listen to my non-academic wife go "mhm, right" on a work call for 90 minutes straight and realize I made the right choice.
Spam e-mails are getting way too advanced and personally tailored. I just received a message boasting "a new theory of aether." I nearly short-circuited as my early modern brain had to resist clicking the attached .exe file poorly disguised as a .pdf
Would love to read it when it's ready/if you're up for sharing!
I'm currently working on a paper on the physics of error in Spinoza. Wonder if there's overlap with what you're working on...?
why does bluey always make me cry wtf
If you're interested in (i) what Spinoza thought about the (non-existent, but representationally informative) "bottom" of the mereological ladder or (ii) some subtle mistakes in a couple of famous 20th-century French interpretations of Spinoza, give the paper a glance!
Happy to share that my paper, "Spinoza's Simplest Bodies" has been published open access in Philosophy. Very grateful to @axdouglas.bsky.social and @asalgadoborge.bsky.social for extremely helpful comments!

'm very happy to finally be able to announce the programme for the conference 'Spinoza and Simone Weil: Influences and Interconnections.' To register, please use the following link: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...
I look forward to meeting you all in May!
Check out this excellent mode of God or Nature.
Since publishing my first paper, predatory journals have frequently sent me emails. These have always been addressed to "Dr." Harmon, even before I finished my PhD. Since passing my viva, nothing about their epistemic position has changed, but they're now getting it right. Gettier strikes again.
Kind of insane that there's no comic book supervillain whose origin story involves madness brought on by frustration with train wifi.
Theme song for me and the rest of the diabetics.
Good morning Bluesky !

Dr Saloni de Souza (Bath Spa) delivered a fantastic keynote lecture at our annual Conference in Cambridge last week: "Mixing Up the Medicine: Garcia de Orta on the Problems with Eurocentric Philosophy" 👇

If R2 is short for R2D2, and Chewie is short for Chewbacca, and Ani is short for Anakin, then Luke is short for a stormtrooper.
"easy peasy" goes so hard
Dr Mara van der Lugt (St Andrews) gave a fantastic keynote talk on 'The Cosmic and the Creaturely' yesterday at our annual conference at @cambridgeuni.bsky.social
