No cameos by founding fathers or Philadelphia Eagles players? No gazebos? Iโ€™m starting to think this Hallmark thing is made up.

Ahโ€ฆthat makes sense. I remember erasing carts, but Iโ€™m fuzzy on reel to reels. Thank you for the info!

I recognize the cart on the right, but Iโ€™ve never seen a single reel player.

The Skin of Our Teeth (Bernstein/Comden/Green, Planned for 196) Discover the musical The Skin of Our Teeth on Ovrtur, the database of Broadway, London, touring, and regional musical theatre history.

I had forgotten about the abandoned musical version of The Skin of Our Teeth. Leonard Bernstein was to compose the music and Betty Comden and Adolph Green the lyrics. This material would later be used for the Chichester Psalms.

โ€˜Monsters of Rockโ€™ Tour featuring: Van Halen, Scorpions, Dokken, Metallica and Kingdom Come โ€“ Los Angeles Coliseum Van Halenโ€™s โ€œMonsters of Rockโ€ Tour took place in 1988, visiting 23 cities from May to July. The shows consisted of 9 hours of performances...

Thereโ€™s probably more info available about that tour, but hereโ€™s what I found with a quick search. Rock on!

Growing up in the 80s, I wasnโ€™t a big Dokken fan, but my older brother and his friends swore by them. The Monsters of Rock tour they did with Scorpion, Kingdom Come, and Van Halen (among others) was a big deal. Anyway, thanks for the nice memory!

Loved the audio book too. It reminded me so much of not only trips I took with my own kids, but nostalgically with trips I took with my parents growing up. So many presidential libraries!

Blanche was also preemptively nominated to be the Librarian of Congress to replace the beloved Dr. Carla Hayden (after she was fired by POTUS without cause), but this was stopped because the LOC already had a succession plan. Also, LOC falls under the Legislative Branch.
