Day 23: Found in a Purse or Pocket

Gang of Four - At home he’s a tourist

Down on the disco floor
They make their profit
From the things they sell
To help you cob off
And the rubbers you hide
In your top left pocket

I wrote a tongue in cheek post.
We have to keep our spirits up.

As soon as the midterms are done:
Strip money out of politics
Cap spending on elections
Get rid of the electoral college system
Introduce proportional representation - replacing 'winner takes it all'
Get rid of primaries
Make the Supreme Court independent
Reduce the impact of lobbyists

Gun control

Doctors and nurses in Lancashire told some idioms risk offending
'international colleagues or patients'

Doctors and nurses have been ordered not to say "it's raining cats and dogs" and "the early bird catches the worm" to avoid offending foreign patients.
Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS
Foundation Trust instructed staff against using the phrases in its diversity and inclusion training, claiming that the terms were not culturally sensitive.
It warned that the terms "may not translate well across other cultures" and may need to be explained to international colleagues or patients.

What is the origin of "Couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo"? This picturesque expression, meaning 'not a very good shot with a rifle' or (of a footballer) unable to score any goals, has cropped up a few times recently in my reading. Does anyone know where it

Who knows - but here are a few suggestions:

Why are civil servants keeping this information away from Kier Starmer and Wes Streeting? It is vital that they are told about Palantir!!
