Our first kid sleeping in weird positions (god-willing, a long-term thread) 🧵

Fuck I think we totally forgot that part in Dune Pt. 2 about not falling for charismatic violent folk heroes fueled by vengeance who look like Timothee Chalamet in a hoodie
Good ol’ fashion police work

I thought life, post-election,
would be so dreary
but I’ve found, upon reflection,
it has been quite cheery
Nooo! The shareholder value!
Heart goes out to all the healthcare CEOs who will now try to reactively treat a dangerous, potentially symptom with expensive wasteful half-measures rather than doing the right thing and treating the underlying cause.
Good luck out there, c-suite.
Leaving athlete intent aside (don’t think it’s that relevant), in the absence of some arbitrary amount of empirical evidence, do we just let post-pubescent trans-women compete until that body of evidence compiles up to a certain volume? Do we defer a decision until…?
Will I trust your cognitive aptitude — is it fair competition for a trans-woman who transitioned at 22 to compete against women? I’m open-minded but so far haven’t found anything compelling beyond a sort of vague inclusive morality argument.
Gorgeous simple photo
And who replaced Arlo White in the Premier League? Peter Drury — a man whose calls through the 2023 season have repeatedly given me chills. I’ve gone back to YouTube looking for his best ever. He’s incredible.
POINT BEING: there may come a time for Kiz to join the broadcast. This year isn’t it.
Kiz is a terrible booth addition. His whole vibe is “I’m too cool to care about this that much.”
PGAT cannot hire *yet another* external personality who conveys they don’t care that much.
LIV put Arlo White in their booth, a guy whose voice conveys that he cares quite a lot, maybe even too much
“Have your cake and eat it too” is a stupid phrase until you learn it’s just backward.
At the barest minimum, the algo controls also fucking suck. Two examples: I keep pressing “not interested in this post” on one guy. Have pressed it 10x this month. And every autoplayed follow up video (after the first) is horrifying at worst, or completely irrelevant at best.
Hell yeah. Btw Neil’s surprise merch giveaway idea was very, very clever.
…and I think that’s bullshit 🙃
I am determined to get to a 5 index from my benchmark 13 (now 11.7)
Plan is to use the Bryson strategy (play less, practice more) to which I’m constrained, because of finances & family: practice smarter, log Shotscope data, study course mgmt, and measure dispersion.
Gonna post more personal writing to this platform instead of the aggressively negative one.
I have a Google doc titled Single Digit Dad: a running log of my golf improvement during early fatherhood (started June 27, ‘24)
Prevailing wisdom says this stage of life/career, you can’t improve at golf…
Absolutely no professional golf below the 38th parallel
So it just hadn’t been requested yet? Point being, I liked your critique of “leaked”
It’s been publicly known for years. This didn’t take 3 minutes to google.
A list of weapons that won’t get college football touchdown celebrators in trouble:
— Bow & arrow
— Catapult

Just finished re-reading Shane Ryan’s US Open recap about Rory, and it’s a movie I could rewatch 1000x

TAKE: You can’t wait until the ball’s landed to club twirl. You gotta twirl on the ascent.
The early signal is the whole point: “watch this, mother fuckers.”
*Then* the ball drops & stops 5 feet from the pin. I won’t fight a post-shot twirl, but it’s of no use to me. Out with them.
I like the idea that it’s a linear journey from left to right. It isn’t for all, but it might be for me
