Geese, the honking bird, are a psy-op
Just as I suspected, Bansky is the alter ego of hall of fame NCAA basketball coach Bob Huggins
Listening to Autechre at the airport is making me feel like Samus Aran
RIP Sly, uncountably prolific, immeasurably influential
A watched file never downloads
Michigan Freshman OL: I was happy here when Horny McHorndog was my coach, but now that we have a universally-regarded world class OL coach, I’m gonna explore my options
Just what we all needed, another year-end list!
Here are my favorite albums from 2025, the year that until recently it currently was. Hope you enjoy reading and listening:

Could only be this one
Wu-Tang Clan - “Triumph”

Wrote about my favorite songs of 2025. Good year (for music)!
Check it out here: voodoochili.tumblr.com/post/8040245...
Deeply ashamed I forgot to post on the last day of the challenge. Oh well. My main is the song I would’ve picked
MAIN: Myaap - “Fairy”
thirteendegrees° - “DA PROBLEM SOLVA”
Cory Hanson - “I Love People”
Also seems like he wrote this one specifically to teach LiAngelo Ball what real Louisiana rap sounded like lol

NBA YoungBoy - "Shot Callin"
This year it became undeniable: YB is the biggest rapper of his generation. "Shot Callin" is a great first radio hit, avoiding mainstream rap trends, instead digging deep into funky Baton Rouge regionalism

Panda Bear - "Anywhere But Here"
Brian Wilson's death loomed large over my 2025 listening. Panda Bear has always been one of his most inspired imitators. This one is intricate and lovely, one of my favorite of his (including his AnCo work)

Here is the original, which is also lovely

Apparently today is day 4, so another one 4 ya

Laurie Torres -“Intérieurs” (Jeremiah Chiu Remix)
Jeremiah Chiu (of SML) turns a gorgeous piano melody from Laurie Torres into propulsive, yet meditative jazz with a new beat and lovely synth flourishes

These New Puritans - “Bells”
Tolling for this epic chamber indie anthem, a career-best effort by a perennially underrated band. Some might find it extravagant, to me it’s hypnotic, and almost too emotional to take at times. Ding dong.

SHERELLE - “SPEED (ENDURANCE)”
A hypersonic bit of footwork with a pummeling 4/4 beat and a bass line that would make the Blackout Crew proud. The song is called “SPEED” and it does what it says on the tin.

#PeoplesPop25 Catching up, so 3 picks are coming today

thirteendegrees° - DA PROBLEM SOLVA
I have officially lived long enough for the rap anthems of my late teens and early 20s to become nostalgia bait. This is good bait tho, great sample flip and slick delivery

why did he do that?
I was one of the top 5-ers for this incredible song 🫡
Had a dream last night that LOS THUTHANAKA was the name of a species of invading alien with Pluribus-esque assimilation abilities.
Don’t let anyone tell you that year-end lists have no impact
Some vague notes on recent listenings
Odeal EP - good, afro Brent Faiyaz
Hellp album - really good
Tems EP - she's done better, but I still love her
Sorry album - a good vibe, kind of transient
Juana Molina album - her best?
Adeline Hotel album - Fender Rhodes is the best instrument ever invented
D'Angelo - perfect discography, superhuman sense of rhythm, deep pain that echoes through each syllable
