sorry, if you want social media to be less toxic, you are obligated to be all in favor of food posts, which are objectively way less toxic than the vast majority of other topics

Someone needs to create a news/internet feed that isn't infested with politics - Reddit, X, this place, Facebook, etc. I want to log on and see cat photos and facts and interesting things about humanity. The closest I can get to that right now is a reddit account which I also don't love.

Earth.

Earth.

Artemis II Commander Reid Wiseman took this picture of Earth from the Orion spacecraft after completing the translunar injection burn. There are two auroras (top right & bottom left) and zodiacal light (bottom right) is visible as the Earth eclipses the Sun. 🧪🔭 #Artemis

Mic check, this thing on?

By the looks of my feed either the world is going to end in a few days or kittens are going to save us all.

Kuiper, now at 102 satellites. A lot more to go, but in the triple digit club!

If you're taking a cert or other type of exam, here's a cheat: the people that create the answers are always more pedantic about the right answer than the wrong answers. If you choose the longest answer to a multiple choice question, you'll be right about 75% of the time.

Project Kuiper: Journey to Launch
Project Kuiper: Journey to Launch YouTube video by Project Kuiper

Here's a new marketing video for Kuiper, it includes some details of the manufacturing and engineering. Space engineering is neat, and the folks in the video are the real people building it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBhs.... (It is a little dramatic, I suppose space is dramatic as well.)

Most days at Amazon: Please read this 6+ page dense document and comprehend it in 30m, 2-3x a day.

Other days at Amazon: Please watch this 2+ hour video, which should be a 2 page document, and click 50+ times.

There's _one_ training exception and it's awesome to read + test instead.

So as of this morning all of the vehicles Project Kuiper will use to launch our constellation have gone to orbit:
✅ Ariane 6 (last year)
✅ Vulcan/Centaur (last year)
✅ Atlas V
✅ Falcon 9
✅ New Glenn (this morning)

We were at 2/5 last year this time, it's enormous progress for heavy launch vehicles.

You know Sheryl Sandberg’s famous line: “If you’re offered a seat on a rocket ship, don’t ask which seat, just get on”?

Do you know who originally said that?

It was CHRISTA MCAULIFFE.

Who died in the Challenger explosion.

In case you’re wondering whether to trust rhetoric that comes out of Meta.

A Quarter Century of Statutory Interpretation Let me see if I have this right.

With the 6th Circuit's network neutrality decision today, the courts have now cycled through every combination of "The Telecommunications Act of 1996 [can|must] be read to treat broadband Internet as [an information service|a telecommunications service]."
