I try to make the dial move on the stuckness of my life, but nothing and nobody will let me. I can’t get a job, can’t move to a new flat, can’t afford my current flat, and I hate it here. I want to move. Got a lead on some more freelance work; can’t progress with that until I’ve moved.

Just had my last pack of mini eggs 😭
I rewatched The Tenant of Wildfell Hall with him only yesterday! He’s definitely one of my top period actors
Verdict: I feel a bit better. Not sure I’ll achieve anything today, but thankfully had a productive day yday.
The only naturally healthy habit I have is never putting salt on chips, so I’m using this sparingly though!!!
I’m going to be more intentional having them in - and free from guilt!
The gift that keeps on giving 😭
Thank you
It was proper lucozade (as opposed to sports version) when I was ill - we weren’t allowed it any other time, and think the taste would remind me of sickness too much!
Yes, crisps is good idea. I’ve not been buying them much, but should try to have some in. Sadly I can’t enjoy ginger things anymore - has tasted bad since having Covid. The last taste that never returned properly
Depends on discipline I think - that’s not how I cite (literature/medical humanities)
Basically I’m asking for permission to have some chips and a coke on a Monday afternoon
It’s just salty fries & caffeine, right?
Really tempted to try the McMigraine method - I don’t even live that far from a McDs, but I can’t face going out in the sunlight. Maybe I could do a homemade version 🤔
I felt similar recently.

I have a real problem with ‘cosy/cozy’ crime as a label. It’s creating so much desensitisation to awful things
Yeah, I don’t know enough mechanics or recycling systems. But there’s still a lot of flytipping and people dumpster dive for goodies, don’t they?! May have to be a miniature machine…
That’s a blast from the past! I reckon it would be really popular these days
Yes, I’d agree!
🤦♀️🤮
Goes in really interesting directions, I promise you
I love the metaphor of ‘sanding down the edges’ here. Agree, and thankful for hearing this today
Enjoying the critically celebrated novel I’m reading, but there’s so many typos 😡
This is easier said than done of course, because most companies don’t have a number you can call.
Tangentially: I tried to complain to a company recently, had to use the stupid chatbot. It wasn’t helpful. I called it useless. It said it detected profanity & refused to continue the chat
I rewatched it recently and it didn’t disappoint me - but I understand the wariness
I also love the Sally Hawkins and Rupert Penry-Jones version
Fatigue is absolutely kicking my butt today. But organisation me wants to do lots of things, and the body is pulling me back. Just killing time until bedtime
Haven’t they ever heard of Papal Infallibility?!
Anytime! Also, maybe Island of Dr Moreau may link. But again might depend on your definition of artificial
Yes - and there’s more but that’s a spoiler for the book! I’m also stretching ‘artificial’ a bit, so it’s also fabrication, non-natural, scientific involvement/interference
Outlander 😭
The Great God Pan by Machen does fit this however
Oh whoops I forgot the Gothic creepy part 🤦♀️
