(We are starting smaller, then adding more beds in coming years if it seems sustainable. This year we started too late in the season for things like potatoes, but future years will hopefully include them!)

Tomatoes are red, eggplants purple, cantaloupe orange, cucumber light green, watermelon dark green, banana peppers yellow, bell peppers blue, marigolds pink, rosemary like a sage green? Basil turquoise, green onions peach, and bush beans yellow ochre. (The marigolds are included with all the veggies because apparently they are supposed to help things stay healthy? I’m not entirely clear on that. Something the master gardeners knew all about.)

My church is starting up a garden to supply our food bank with produce and I’m so excited 😄 There are master gardeners in the group (my garden style is more plant a lot and see what survives.)So I’m just working hands. BUT I got to draw the Official Garden Plan because I am the artist of the group 🌱

Six hamantaschen sit in a circle on a small turquoise pottery plate. (The plate actually has a moon rise on it but you can’t see that cause, cookies on the plate!) the plate sits on Star Wars fabric with lil floral designs and dots surrounding various characters’ heads. The flavors of the hamantaschen are already described in the post so I don’t think I need to go over that again.

Lots of different hamantaschen flavors this year, all gluten free and vegan so safe for all the kids to have 😄 It’s been a long month already, definitely needing some treats!

The president, who drones on about protecting women’s sports, publicly mocked the women’s gold-medal hockey team. A reminder this was never about protecting women’s sports and it was always about transphobia and misogyny.

Large goose and tiny goose stuffed toys, sitting on a bench outside. They are facing each other with beaks touching, even though geese probably don’t actually kiss, it looks like baby goose is giving mama goose a lil kiss. Both are grey, baby goose has an orange beak, green belly with constellation print, and yellow feet. Mama goose has yellow beak, orange feet, and half matching green constellation fabric and half blue constellation fabric for her belly because I only had a very small amount of green. There are pink buds on the azaleas and magnolia tree in the background because spring is coming.

Usually I make quilts when the people around me have kids, but my friend is becoming a grandma and she’s called her daughter her “little goose” her whole life so the daughter is having a goose themed nursery sooo mama goose and baby goose stuffies 😍🪿
