A vintage-fashion "expert" has been highly critical of indie animation, notably for historically inaccurate fashion design. They rudely went after someone's portfolio pieces for their Spindlehorse application.
They themselves are an aspiring indie animator with a project in development.
I'm disappointed to find out who this is referring to. It's true that they speak very critically of many indie projects. Even for series they enjoy, their praise is still peppered with "not good enough, I can do better".
Their own indie project looked very sweet, so I'm sad.
I was worried when Sarcastic Chorus was doing live reactions for Hazbin, but I think he's still having a lot of fun with the series and is really good faith in his criticism of the show.
Honestly, he comes off much more positive than he did when writing essays... thankfully, not like Diregentleman.
At least we get a reference to it in Helluva Boss.

Honestly, I have a lot of respect for Sarcastic Chorus for being someone who analyzed HB from the perspective of what Viv was trying to convey to the best of his ability.
And when he couldn't be good faith anymore, he dropped the series rather than make off-the-cuff nitpicking "analysis" vids.
I really like the contrast between lines such as, "You're nothing." with "You are the 'pride'", and "You must." with "'You're not ready'".
To me, it puts emphasis on how 'Niss put value on being useful, and how quickly that validation could be invalidated.

I love how you included a slight glow around the eyes so that no matter how much I adjust the brightness, his eyes are always super intense.
I really like the way his eyes are still striking and intense even with the main light source coming from the blinds.
