A clip of the march for immigrant rights earlier today. Protestors walked several blocks and closed down the street from Jefferson to 7th ave and back to the AZ state Capitol. Crowd was so big it spanned a full intersection
Tens of thousands of people marching across the US this weekend against ICE raids, threats to health care, and blocking billionaire's henchmen from stealing our futures.

Okay
Thanks for the conversation, appreciate it.
I think the issue is that the fix could be quicker. We all deserve that. We need big money out of political campaigns. We need to hold politicians accountable. We need our tax dollars to be an investment in social programs that benefit all of us. Tax the rich, invest in people.
Like, I’m with you. I’m just saying Harris lost because she didn’t speak to this as well as Gaza, as well as Medicare for all/universal healthcare. Dems have consistently fallen short of what folks keep saying they want to happen. I wasn’t surprised by the outcome but didn’t want Trump.
I’m not speaking for you. There are other people in the same situation who did vote for Trump based on this.
I voted for Harris. I can still be critical of her campaign while doing so.
…more with people who are living paycheck to paycheck. That’s a huge part of why Harris lost; you can’t beat Trump without addressing the cost of living (see also: Clinton, 2016). Telling people that “economics are good” when they can’t pay rent doesn’t cut it. Couple that with Gaza & here we are.
Look, I voted for Harris. And we should always be critical and hold politicians accountable for policies that are incongruous with our ethics. Dems have been shifting centrist/right for decades, and it should come as no surprise that someone talking about the price of gas & food would resonate…

Yeah, what have protests ever accomplished in this country. Civil rights just manifested out of nothing, I guess.
This just ignores that Dems essentially ran the same game plan that handed Trump his initial presidency when he ran against Clinton. People talking about the cost of groceries and Harris responds with “…but the economy,” tone deaf af. Folks are tired of the status quo.
How many billions of dollars worth of weapons did Biden supply to Israel? Harris said she would do nothing differently; how can you blame people for not voting if that was their priority?
