We work to fine tune our chai milk stout for competition. We received a 3rd place BOS in the last comp. We are doing a ginger beer (not a ginger flavored ale) for a charity festival in March for local pet rescues. We've also dabbled in ciders/meads. The club is doing a steinbier next month!

another myth LOL - I had seen that the alewives used a broom of some sort to clean (or perhaps stir) the wort and then hung out to dry. Which collected wild yeast which helped the next batch ferment.

My husband and I have been brewing about 10 years. We are part of the Central Florida Home Brewers, which has been around for 36 years.

We brewed Monday - a chai milk stout. We have a few women in our home brew club, and 3 on our board.

I always thought the pointy black hat for alewives was so they could be seen in the markets selling their wares. Not sure how that translated to witches though. Maybe through association with depictions of witches in such headgear?

Not only health but little league for Tommy, ballet for Susie, child care, a down payment on a house, fixing that roof damaged by the hurricane that home insurance won't pay. $34B into the economy.

I'm spending the morning going through ever advertiser and blocking them.

I've scheduled a dentist appt for Monday.

It's my go-to for work functions, or if I'm out and the beer list sucks. I like it with tonic!
