Thank you, Senator Jeff Merkley, for your incredible 22-hour and 37-minute marathon speech on the Senate floor!
I joined @merkley.senate.gov during his marathon floor speech to talk about how tariffs have put soybean growers on their heels.
Instead of dealing with the fact that their own constituents are getting run over, our colleagues are ignoring that the President is abusing these powers.
Today was a great day.
#NoKings gave us all a much-needed boost.
But don’t stop there.
Now we focus on what’s next:
17 days of getting out the vote in every election across the country, especially in CA, VA, NJ, PA, and GA.
Rallies don’t mean much if they don’t help us win elections!

No. I will not vote to allow 15 million people to lose their health insurance and watch 50,000 Americans die each year unnecessarily.
No. I will not vote to double premiums for 20 million.
Republicans must come to the table and negotiate an end to the shutdown.

Democrats are ready to fix this crisis, but Republicans would rather keep the government shut down.
Their allegiance to Trump outweighs their duty to you—the American people.

Frederick Douglass warned more than 150 years ago that "To suppress free speech is a double wrong. It violates the rights of the hearer as well as those of the speaker."
It was true then—and it's true now.
Today I added fertilizer to my lime tree and a mix of organic compost and soil to the top half.
Then I watered it.
Tomorrow I think I will move my cucumber plant to a spot that gets more sun.

1. Florida banned cities from lighting up bridges rainbow colors for Pride.
So the people of Jacksonville did it themselves using flashlights and gels.
They opened the drawbridge to block them.
So they marched to a different bridge.

Filing for Missoula City Council elections has opened and races are already taking shape; and Missoula County chips in $125,000 to help house Johnson Street shelter residents.
A picture shows 32 men arranging themselves into an SOS on the ground of a prison yard. The ground is bare earth. All the men are wearing red or orange prison jumpsuits.
What an image! Venezuelan men who narrowly avoided being imprisoned by Trump in El Salvador without trial (saved by the Supreme Court) spelled out an SOS to a

Sorry for your loss friend!
Powerful words from Rick Steves today in Edmonds, WA: A community coming together to stand for decency, dignity, and democracy. No matter your party, these are values worth defending. Let’s keep showing up.

FUN STORY: After my father passed away I went into a weird coping trance where I did everything normal all day long but then once I was home I would watch 4-5 episodes of Murder she Wrote in a row every night. It continues to be the most soothing show on television.
HAHA. What a ding-a-ling.
