What I'm saying is, you need an actual theory of change beyond "If we do a big enough march, politicians will be awed the size of our movement and change their minds"— it doesn't work.
The subtext of a peaceful march is "It's peaceful today, it may not be peaceful tomorrow if nothing changes."

We are heartbroken to wake up to news of American and Israeli military strikes in Iran. These unjustifiable attacks are a dangerous escalation in Trump's scorched-earth Middle East policy. President Trump values the wants of Netanyahu over the will of the American People. Furthered by the Trump Administration's repeated circumvention of Congressional approval to do so. Hasty, reckless bombing leveled an elementary school in Iran. Local sources are already reporting dozens of civilian deaths. As Jewish people and Americans, our voice needs to be loud, clear, and united against this heinous action carried out in our name. This violence is unconscionable and illegal. Immediate action must be taken by both the US and Israeli governments to de-escalate tensions created by Trump and Netanyahu. We urge Congress to bring Articles of Impeachment against President Trump. If not now, when?

One of the kind of fucked up parts of the ICE occupation here is that a lot of folks want to believe it’s over, and the media seems to tell us it’s over, but folks on the ground are still seeing tons of activity and vulnerable people are still (rightfully) terrified to go outside. We can’t stop yet.
I’ve lost count of how many US citizens ICE has shot.
And the media still acts like it’s only two.
When I say our leaders aren’t helping us, this is what I mean. ICE is showing no signs of leaving but our senator, who is currently running for governor, doesn’t even know that. And she’s doing the administration‘s work for them.
Letting Republicans off the hook without legal consequences for their crimes isn’t “bringing people together,” it’s encouraging them to keep committing crimes. After January 6th, there should be no more confusion about this.

But ICE has consistently made statements themselves that they are only changing tactics—not withdrawing altogether.
